Any steering angle mods?

I love my 4Runner, but the turning radius is drizzling diarrhea. Navigating parking lots is the absolute worst. Is there anything that can be done to increase the steering angle?

Must be some difference between 4th and 5th gens, I have a 4th and always been impressed with the turning radius. Have no problem doing a u-turn on most two lane streets.

tbh I've never heard anyone complain of the turning radius on a 4Runner and personally I have never had noticed problems in parking lots, parallel parking, U-turns, or city lane ways (everything is single pull in/out motion, never 3+ point turns in usual situations...)

And on the trails I've also found it perfectly adequate for a 4dr.

Are you sure there isn't something wrong with your vehicle specifically?

Agree on the 4th gen turning radius. I had a 4th gen and it was great. 5th gen is not that different so I don’t understand why the turning radius is so different. I used to be able to make a sharp u turn at my kids school with plenty of gap. 5th gen is a big NOPE!

No. Being a short wheel base vehicle, I have no problem with sharp switch backs on the Alpine Loop in Western Colorado. I get a chuckle watching pick up trucks and the four door Wranglers, which have longer wheel bases, have to do a back and forth to get around those switch backs.

I have welded on to the steering stops on my knuckles to reduce my steering angle to limit tire rubbing on my frame rails and upper control arms.

my wife has never complained about hers. maybe you should be better?

for real, its missing one full rotation IMO. crank the wheel and see if its contacting the steering stop on the LCA. you can cut it off. Then your only limiting factor is the pump. so if that blows, dont blame the random forum guy ;)
