Ironman 4x4 Lift

So I’m looking to upgrade from my stock suspension and I am Looking to see if anybody has used the iron man 4x4 lift and what they thought about them. They have a 3 year warranty on it. But I haven’t really heard anybody with them. If so how do they compare to any other brand you have ran. Also if you recommend another brand instead that be cool aswell.

Thanks in advance.

Ironman lifts aren’t as popular with the 5th gen. A lot of 100 series land cruiser guys run them and the first people who started modding the GX470 first ran them. They’re basically an Old Man Emu/ ARB knockoff.

Metal tech sells a lot of them and seems to like them as they make fridges and snorkels and bumpers as well as suspensions.

If you just want a basic lift just to have a lift then it’ll do just fine. I’d spend a little more and look into King/Icon/Fox like they’re “stage 1” kits. You’ll have a better ride quality.

I don't think I've heard much about them, but their website does have a review posted by a 4runner owner.

I've been looking for shocks with the largest diameter (cooling capability), rubber bushings (spherical bearings = reliability / wear concern), adjustable front coilovers, without remote reservoirs (extra leak points = reliability concern). These seem to be on point.

I couldn't find where they listed a warranty, but bilsteins (without remote reservoirs) I believe are 'lifetime', otherwise they are 90 days, so 3 years isn't bad.

I actually decided to go with icon Coilovers due to easy install and friends that have had them aswell.

I ran an OME on my ‘05 Liberty KJ and liked it. I’ve searched lifts For my T4R for 2 months now. There is just not much data out there on Ironman. After some investigation, I found out they are about 60 miles away in Wilsonville, OR.
I called and talked to Luke in sales on Friday for over an hour about shocks, coil springs rates, UCA, etc. Product research and design sounds legit. He owns an ‘18 T4R so was speaking from experience. Based on 95 percent on road daily use, he suggested the Nitro vs Foam Cell Pro kit. His confidence in this being a huge step up from factory and that I should save the money by not buying a more expensive kit got my attention.
For just over $1k, I’m taking the plunge on a stage 2 kit with Nitro shocks, higher spring rate ‘performance springs’, and their UCA with 4* built in caster that uses OEM ball joint and bushings. This kit was on sale from $1,500 plus they are throwing in a pair of 3” side shooter LED lights.
The price almost seems too good to be good...but there are some great reviews out there from Land Cruiser, Taco owners. Fact they are selling direct to public vs through a wholesaler and talking to a pro pushed me over the edge.
Kit should ship Monday. I plan to share more with the group on my experience good and bad on install, ride and long term experience.

My Nitro kit with performance springs is on the way. Any chance you can share:

1. What springs did you install?
2. Before and after measurements?
3. Did you install any spacers on front back or left/right for lean?

Photos are a bonus, thanks!

Great info- this is a great reference.
Did you use comfort, performance or constant load coils?
Our starting heights are the same except I am 3/8” low on drivers front (lean)- had you compensated for that previously?
Your FCP shocks are adjustable, did you set them to factory recommended height to start??
I assume you will settle in the front or you can always adjust down.
Photos look great- thanks so much for the info!

I went with Performance Springs. I set the driver side 1/4" higher in the front to compensate for the lean. The rear I have a slight lean as well. Ironman recommended a measurement and that is where I started at.

I have been researching kits and decided on the ironman stage 2 nitro shock kit as well. I have 33in tires and they said I would have no problem bumping up the front to 3in using their forged UCA's. I would like to see some more pics when more people have that kit installed.
I preordered my kit, i should have it in a couple weeks. From what I have seen so far it looks like some people with that kit can go above 3 inches.
