A few suspension questions...

I have a ORP without KDSS and am putting a set of 6112s on the front at ~1.2. 5160s on the rear.

1. Should I drop the sway bar or diff? Based upon research, it doesn’t sound needed.
2. I am interested in raising the back about .5 in... is a cornfed spacer my only option? Anyone make springs that would be a better upgrade while I’m in there?

I also think corn fed will cut a rear spacer any size you want. A 1/2 inch spacer lifts one inch, just the way it works with spring compression. Depends if you like the level or raked look.

Given the reviews on those Eibach springs, that sounds like a winner. At the 1.2 or 1.6 setting, I shouldn’t need to drop the sway or diff, right?

Definitely not necessary to do a diff drop at that height. Once you get to 2-2.5 I would recommend doing though, a lot of people do a 2.5/1.5 and still don't run so you are all good.

Pretty sure there's no "multiplication factor" for rear spacer lift. The spring rests directly on the axle housing, so 1" of spacer gets you 1" of lift.

It's different in the front, where the geometry of the spring's mounting point on the LCA means you get around the 2:1 ratio you mentioned -- 1/2" of spacer gets you close to 1" of lift.

Always a good idea to read through the lift buyer's guide thread -- lots of great into there: 5th Gen 4Runner Lift Buyers Guide - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum

not true. back end is a 1:1 ratio. front is a arm setup so yes there is a roughly 1:2 ratio.

I'm at 2-2.25" over stock in the front. CV angles look straight. Did not install a diff drop.

A lot of people say its unnecessary. Companies like Toytec 'push it' because its a product they manufacture and sell.

Are those 265 or 285 Wildpeaks?

265's have done me fine. I think too many people jump into 285's because of what they see online as 'cool' versus looking for something to fit their actual needs.

Yeah, sometimes the 285s seem "just right" in photos and sometimes they look absurdly gigantic.

I've got 265 Wildpeaks on mine and with my only "lift" being a Cornfed 1" spacer, they look perfect. Just never sure how I'd feel if I went another inch taller.
