2019 and 2020 TRD Pro Rack - Any Way To Make Useful?
OK, I have a 2019 TRD Pro.
I'm a pretty optimistic guy, so I've tried to find an way to make the "Pro" roof rack useful (so I can throw some boxes, tools, etc. up there.)
I even went as far as to get a few extra rails to try and set up a way to strap down some boxes, but due to the goofy design (the corners are rounded, the top bars are closer in than the bottom bars) I literally can't find a sensible way to use the rack.
Before I drop $800 on a new roof rack, have any 2019/2020 TRD Pro owners found a way to use the rack to mount any reasonable amount of gear?

I can't believe how little information there is about these rack being used. I can't even find information on the maintenance or adjustments of the crossbars. Anyone know of ANYTHING out there?

It’s also steel which is ok but not ideal. Still weighing the pros and cons of just using the $ for a replacement aluminum rack.

So, 200lb capacity. Is that static or dynamic? I’m still trying to figure out the best direction for using the top of the truck as a shooting (camera) platform, and I weigh over 200lbs.
This could be an option.

Its definitely pricey, but I will say its a contender for me because you will never have to worry about leaking from installing a new roof rack.

Can the OEM cross bars still fit with the Baja basket installed? I have a snowboard carrier that attaches to the cross bars.
Also anyone have experience with the raingler cargo roof net, fit to the 2019-2020 TRD Pro rack?

I will think to 4 or 5 attach aluminum sloted bars to the top of bottom tube. Only need to figure out a safe connection to the tube.

Wanted to bump this and see if anyone has since had any productive usability...best I can tell, I might be able to strap a few low weight boxes up there.

This is NOT a photo of my 4Runner. But there's a guy in the 4Runners of Washington FB page that has a 2020 TRD Pro AG and has a Tepui RTT on the stock rack using cross bars. He also has an awning on the other side.

Toyota should made a flat rack like they did for the TRD pro Sequoia.
