I plan on installing the '20 TRD Pro exhaust this weekend - any takers on the stock on from a '18?

I'll take some before/after videos if anyone is interested. Following week I'm finally putting in the TRD CAI.

~3000 Miles on my '20 Pro after a couple pretty long road trips. The exhaust drones at all speeds, and sounds the loudest at freeway speeds with the tach ~2K-2200 rpm.

To me it doesn't sound louder or quieter than when I took delivery of the truck with 5 miles on it. I suspect those who think it has gotten quieter with miles are instead just getting more used to the sound.

Honestly I think it is a decent sounding exhaust and don't mind it at all...the motor it's attached to sounds like junk, but that's another thread for another day.

Just curious if that's ~2000 rpm on flatland or hills? Mine is quiet up to 2800 and even then it's minor. Illinois is mostly flatland

Either, really, but yes definitely more so while going up grades.

"Quiet" is not a term I would use to describe anything about the 4Runner, but I guess that's a sliding scale depending on who we are and what we're used to.

I actually heard the exhaust today for the first time in real life. It sounded amazing. I was blown away. Thanks Tamoosh for the demo!

You drove it or heard it driving by? What did you like about it?

Bought it new from a Black Friday deal. Should have a review up by the end of next week at the latest.

Just an idea for the Pro owners who don't like this.
I think another plus of the system is the side discharge, aka little to no exhaust when rear window is down. Also it looks great.
Rather than swap for a stock system just grab a front pipe and have a shop weld it to the trd rear. They line up perfectly except stock is 2 bolts and trd has 3. You'll end up with a quiet runner with trd looks!

We met up, heard the start up and a few rev's.. Unfortunately didn't get the driving experience, but all in all solid.

How easy would this be? And how costly do you think

Welding could be free for someone with a stainless welder. I'm sure you could clamp it but not recommend. Not sure what a front pipe cost but sometimes they are free, I had trouble giving my stock exhaust away from my 19. A shop with a lift wouldn't take long, but not sure of cost

Drove home 500 or so miles in a 2020 TRD PRO. Drone is not to bad even going up hills. Definitely louder then I anticipated though! Sounds good to me overall.

I’m a little slow, what are you suggesting? Front pipe?
I thought about buying an ORP exhaust and Cut and weld pro side exit

From what Ive seen online the muffler is sold as the front pipe- goes from the cat to the rear tail pipe. With the different bolt flanges with trd/stock I suggested keep the flange from the stock system and weld the trd rear after that.
Could weld it without a flange but would be harder done the road to change the muffler when it goes
