The impact on ride depends on the size (thickness) of the preload spacer.
thanks. He uses spacers on either side (top and bottom) of the coilover, from what I understand.

IMHO: then considering that the total lift is 2 inches, I would assume that preload spacer is half of the inch or less… so I would tend to agree with him and that such a small preload will have very minimal to no impact on the ride quality…

of course, “ride quality\harshness” is very subjective… ☹

No lift with 275 and TRD Pro wheels will likely rub without lift and spacers. They even have to trim the Pro’s at port when they install all of the goodies just to fit 265’s. With the lift it may not rub driving around town but as @Jetboy stated in an earlier post, if you go anywhere that compresses the front suspension and turn you’ll rub due to the nature of the 4runner’s IFS. This is all without wheel spacers. Add in the wheel spacers and you’re going to have to go to work on that body mount.

If you “need” to run 275’s and wheel spacers, just go no lift, do a Body Mount Chop, call it a day and enjoy your vehicle.
