radio/nav power loss

My 2015 T4R trail has been intermittently losing power to the nav/radio screen/console for a week or so. Completely random and sometimes will work as normal then without warning complete power loss. The entertainment/nav screen will cycle back on then immediately off again. This repeats a few times til I say screw it and leave the radio power off. Is there some trouble shooting I can do to find the source of this power loss?

i've read a couple accounts here of people who had loose connections on the headunit from the factory that were resolved by checking wire connections

In 2.5 years of ownership, mine has done something like this about 3 or 4 times. It resets like when you turn the vehicle on and plays like normal. I was just normally driving when it did it too.
Also, my steering wheel controls will not be what they are supposed to be too. Like the volume buttons will control the preset channel selection. That seems to be intermittent and sometimes a restart fixes it but other times, it just fixes itself.
