Accessorides Remote Start Praise! - Toyota 4Runner Forum

Just an FYI, I bought the Accessorides remote start with the internet app capability and tried to install it last weekend. It wasn't working according to the directions so I called them and they walked me through troubleshooting and determined that there must be a problem with the unit. They apologized and said they'd send a new one right away.

I got it this afternoon and installed it in less than 15 minutes and it works like a charm. They also provided me with a return shipping label so I could send the defective unit back so they could figure out what went wrong.

Top notch product and even better customer service! They've got my recommendation for sure!

What issues were you having? I have my wife's 4runner apart right now and I can not seem to get passed the programming the bypass step. I have checked all the connections and everything has power and nothing. I tried calling Accessorides and they must be closed today.

any reason you went internet enabled? how is the app (android?)? benefits you haven' noticed

I have had my accessorides remote starter installed for a while now and have no issues with the starter unit working by itself. However, I do have an aftermarket Pioneer headunit where I can connect to the OBD2 connector. When I have my Pioneer headunit connected to the OBD2 connector and try to initiate the remote starter, the car gets stuck in 'crank' mode and never starts the car. I have to hit the lock button on the keyfob to make it stop cranking. Has anyone had similar issues? Any fix for this?
