Fox Tundra 2.5" Rear Shocks w/ KDSS

Is anyone running this combo of the Fox 2.5" Tundra rear shock with KDSS on their 4Runner? Steve from Sonoran steel says he recently had a customer that had an issue with this. He stated that the max extended length of the shock can't exceed 25.5", otherwise the KDSS plunger will be pulled out during operation, and according to the customer's photo pre-install, it was like 27"+. According to any online literature I can find with the specs though, the stated length is only 25.02", but Steve was saying it could be because everyone measures it differently.

Is anyone running this setup that can confirm that this is/isn't the case with Tundra shock?

I just ordered mine from Accutune and they reassured me that there should be no problem, but I would like to make sure before I install them that I'm not about to wreck the KDSS on my truck.

Thanks in advance.

This thread has great info on what you can and can’t do with KDSS and how to fit longer shocks.
Maximize your KDSS + extended travel shocks

I run the tundra shocks but have no sway bars. I know, no help to you but need to start posting more.

Be sure to drop your bumps an inch.
