XEON DEPOT HID XTR 5K vs Philips 4300K vs Philips 4800K
hello all,
I have been using XEON DEPOT HIDs on both my runners.
5K XTR bulbs and 4300K Philips bulbs
I like the philips output a lot better than the 5K XD brand.
XD just launched Philips XV2 4800K bulbs. I am thinking of upgrading the 5K bulbs with these XV2 bulbs.
Has anyone ordered them? XD is having 20% sale right now.

I ordered a pair finally of the Extreme Vision Gen 2 (XV2) to replace the XTR 5K bulbs. I like the blue mild tint of 5K but I will like the xv2 more
there is a you tube video with side by side comparison with Osram bulb and it rates it the best.

I’ve had the rebased Phillips (4300?) on my 4th gen, wasn’t satisfied and did a retrofit.
Retrofit on our 5th gens is not as easy, and nothing out there fits well that’s an actual upgrade, so I got a XD 5k kit.
I’m not happy with the output.. pattern is alright, width is alright, cutoff is alright. Just feel like it’s lacking intensity.
I ordered the Phillips xv2 re-base, and they should be here Saturday. Hopefully they’re better.

ditto. i have the exact same opinion for the 5k bulb. everything about 5k is better than 4300 EXCEPT for the intensity. so hoping the 4800 xv2 will fix it.

Same, after watching a few comparisons I ordered the Philips XV2 4800k HID kit along with the 2 Stroke 2.0 LED high beam kit. I never thought I'd pay so much for an HID kit, I'm curious to see if the performance justifies the price difference. My LED low beams are terrible in the rain.

I put them in, not dark yet.
Against the garage door, it’s pretty obvious that they’re gonna be a ton better.
I can see them on the ground before sunset which alone is impressive. Hotspot appears much larger, color temp is much warmer as expected.

Post some pics! Mine won't be here for another week, then I need to find the time to install.

Pulled the trigger on the regular XD Phillips 4300 HID kit. Had their high and low LED’s for a year. Not unhappy with their LED low beams, but want to get some brighter low beams for inclement weather here in Fl. Couldn’t pass up the 20% off sale. Almost wish I would have sprung for the 4800 Phillips now
