Roof rails side stress

Just curious what y'all think. If I use the rails as one attachment point for a hammock during camp, do y'all think it would pull from the roof any? The roof rails are designed for downward pressure, not to be peeled from the side.

not a very good idea, running the risk of tearing up the threads in the bolt holes is a very expensive fix

Yea kinda what I was thinking. Ive seen pics of people tie off their racks but not their rail .

With a good rack the force should be distributed to all four attachment points, I mean it will still be scattered so some attachment points will get more stress then others but over all it should be less.
