Please don’t put non all terrain/off-road tires on a 4x4 - looks ridiculous.

OP has likely already bought his tires at this point....but I agree, summer tires are more for a street performance machine. 4Runners do fine on a good all season.

To update my choices, the Yokohama Geolandar G015 looks like the winner; less expensive than the other choices. The Coopers are (or were?) a great tire, but I just can't stomach that they've been bought by Goodyear and the changes that will bring...never had much luck with Goodyear tires and not interested in owning them; only exception would be Duratracs.
