TRD PRO Replica Front Grill Bad Install

Hey Everyone,

I just recently installed a TRD Pro replica front grill on my '16 TEP and pretty much screwed it up. I was tired and it was late so I kind of just peeled the adhesive stickers and shoved it on. Now one side is popping off. Does anyone have any tips on how to safely remove it and what new adhesive to use to reinstall it? Your help is much appreciated and thanks in advance.

The side of mine pops out a tiny bit too. Not much you can do about it.

I did have a similar experience though and my OCD made me reinstall it. I took it off + added new 3m double sided tape. Start from the bottom and slowly peel it off. Once the bottom is detached- but a place holder there so it doesn't reseat itself. Next start removing the top portion. I suggest you start from left to right or vice versa. Once bottom and top are removed, it should pop off.

Thanks, I'm going to give that a try. 60 dollars for that 3m double sided tape is a bit pricey though. I'm a cheapskate

put some heat on it to help loosen the tape before pulling it off. I did it 3 times on my install. Taking off the tape residue sucks too.

When I installed mine, I sprayed some windex on the surface. This allowed me to slide it easily. It also allowed me to take it off to re-center it. after a while, the windex dries up and the tape sticks well.
