I hope they get it figured out as well and I hope the fix is a simple as a $0.88 part. Unfortunately, right now it’s a problem I and other people paid around $50k for.

It’s not even that the problem is that bad(yet), but a basically brand new vehicle shouldn’t sound like an old man trying to get out of bed whenever the suspension is flexing (mild exageartion).

I can honestly say that had I known this was a potential problem I would not have bought it. I should have bought an ‘18 instead of waiting for the ‘19

I’ll see if I can get a recording of my particular noise.

Agree 100%..you spend that kind of $$ on a vehicle and you don't want to hear it making any unusual noises...

I greatly appreciate the tech bulletin that was posted.

I booked my dealer appointment 2 weeks ago, and of course it was above 35 degrees today (after being 3 degrees earlier this week) so there was no knock heard

this Sucks
so if they knew this in may of 2019 did they not mention it at time of purchase i wonder if there is any recourse to dealer that sold the vehicle
hope that Toyota figures it out and fix it what ever it takes

There is no issue. It's a normal characteristic of the shock. There is nothing to figure out and fix.

I can say with confidence they did NOT mention it when I bought it. Lol

“Thank you for your business sir. Oh by the way there’s as good chance the suspension is going to creak like wooden stairs in an old house all winter long. Don’t worry. It’s normal.”

I’m worried about this, too. Mine will be there all next week, but it’s supposed to be in the 40s all week. I have two different noises, both when cold. The first is the clunk when going over bumps. The second was described by another member in this thread as the sound of driving over snow, this occurs when I’m turning at low speed. Almost sounds like rubbing, but from the rear.
I was underneath most of the day and didn’t find anything noticeably out of sorts. Hopefully these noises will be replicated next week. Either way, I’ll have a loaner from the dealer, so it’s a nice way of keeping miles off it.

It’s a normal characteristic of people with cancer to die. That doesn’t mean it’s not a problem.

Read the previously posted tech bulletin. It's in the thread.

Actually, that's not a fact.

The number of cancer deaths (cancer mortality) is 163.5 per 100,000 men and women per year (based on 2011–2015 deaths). Cancer mortality is higher among men than women (196.8 per 100,000 men and 139.6 per 100,000 women).

really you are ok with that
I hate to say it but i would be more than PO if i bought a new vehicle for 50k and when i drove it in weather below 33 degrees and had clunking sounds coming from it
sounds like a class action to me. they knew of it and did not disclose of it. just saying. but i don't know much my friend i been wrong before .

I know you’re not supposed to feed the trolls because that’s exactly what you are but I’m gonna take exception to your fact finding. Yes. 163.5 people of 100k die of cancer a year. That is fact. However the incidence rate of people DEVELOPING cancer is 439.2 per 100k. Of those 439.2 people 163.5 will die on average. That’s 37.2% of people that develop cancer die. So yeah. I’d say dying is a strong characteristic of having cancer.

Oh if you’re wondering I got all that info off a tech bulletin so don’t worry. It’s all fact.

I leave you with this last little tidbit:
