Unsure if related.

I remember the 2015/2016 TRD Pros with the bilsteins also reporting sounds from suspension.

There was a TSB...

YMMV

Well, I picked up my vehicle yesterday after the repairs were performed. Front left and right Fox struts we’re completely replaced. I haven’t driven it much since then, but the noise in the front end appears to have gone away. I’m still getting some small creaking from the rear, but will wait it out for a couple of weeks to see how it is under different conditions. Overall I’m very pleased with how it was handled. My claim is still open if there’s any future issues.

Attached is a the redacted repair sheet.

Clunking noise from suspension

I just picked up my 2019 TRD Pro today after the dealership replaced the Fox rear shocks.

Drove it today and no issues. Fingers crossed no more issues.

Thank you two for posting updates and the pics. Hopefully the rest of our dealers start to do what’s right and back the warranty. Good luck with your trucks

One question for ya, what is FTS where it says replace per FTS? Is that one of your tech or field tech service? If you know. Just seeing if they had a document I haven’t seen or something to help the case

I’m honestly not sure. I know my service advisor in the lead tech at the dealership was in direct contact with some regional guy from Toyota. I think they referred to him as an engineer. Who knows. I would assume it’s a Toyota field tech.

Question for those that have this noise. Did anyone have this when it was both cold and brand new?
Asking because mine only has 1k miles and I want to go with a front level. Soon as I do that, no more warranty. Just trying to figure out if I should save up and just buy kings

I didn’t. Mine started at around 5k miles or ~6 months of ownership

Mine starts the first or second month I had it and I got it in SD the day we had a blizzard and drove all weekend threw MN. It was fine for about a month then it started. At the time I reported it Toyota regional tech had only reported two other cases both near where I lived.

My noise started at around 2000 km... Just a couple of months of driving and it was still quite warm out so I don't think it is necessarily temperature related.

Mine also is definitely not temp related, the temp does seem to make it worse but even in the summer you can hear and feel it. I reported that as well and they said I was the only one stating it at higher temps

I spent some time yesterday driving through new sub-divisions. First time I've really been driving at low speeds for an extended period of time. By the time we were finished looking at houses, I was cringing over every bump, even turning into and out of streets I could hear what has been described as driving on fresh snow.
Adding to my irritation, the service adviser responsible has stopped returning my calls, but I did get a postcard from the dealer saying my ordered parts have arrived.

Looks like my dealer is playing the long game on this one. I received notice that part(s) are in. Service advisor did reach out late yesterday to confirm they have a pretty significant backlog due to recalls across the board.
Oddly, they only ordered 1 replacement shock. Over the past month, the noise has become more audible and is clearly coming from both sides. Beyond that, I'm pretty sure it's coming from the rear as well. So kind of a good news/bad news for me. Technically, if the noise is not resolved after the single shock replacement I can file a Lemon Law case with the state of Ohio, as this will be the third attempt to fix. I'm also coming up on the 8 total service requests in under 1 year. With the LPFP recall I will be at 8.

Hopefully your lemon law goes better then mine as it was denied once again due to the tech tip saying it’s normal and doesn’t effect the performance or longevity of the shock/vehicle.
