TRD Pro Fox Shock Clunk
Now that the weather is consistently in the 30's, I'm getting a clucking sound from the stock Fox Shocks on my 2019 TRD PRO. You can hear and even feel it under the floor boards when going over small bumps. It's not super loud per say, but you definitely know it is there.
Anyone else notice this on their 2019+ PROs?

Yes! And I've even noticed it on very slow turns, like turning into a parking space, but only when I turn right.

I have not noticed this yet on mine, but will keep an ear out for it as it begins to cool off here in the Southeast.

Same here, I haven't noticed this on mine, but I'll be sure to listen for anything suspicious in the coming months.
Hope it's nothing serious!

No clunk, yet
I’ve got only 2000 miles on my Pro and have not heard the noise everyone is talking about. I live in the Seattle area, and it hasn’t gone below freezing yet. Is there a TSB for it?

2 weeks with 20 pro, cold here in Chicago and no noise yet. Do you have a go pro you could strap by each spring till you can ID it? Dealers are useless unless you can reproduce every time.

1000 miles on my 2020 pro. Haven’t noticed a clunk. Been near freezing a few mornings here when I head off to the office but we never really get the deep freeze.

It's an odd issue indeed, and I have a feeling it definitely is temperature related. I have roughly 2600 miles on my PRO, and the sound only started when it's been consistently ~30F.
I do see someone mentioning the same thing in this thread below, and someone else on the other 4Runner forum.
2019 TRD Pro suspension Fox vs anything else

Below describes exactly what the sound is:
So I have a 2019 TRD PRO 4R. As it has started to get colder in TN I have started hearing a dead strut sound when rolling over bumps at very low speed or thru a bumpy yard. If you have ever had an old car with a bad front strut that empty hollow thud sound is what I’m hearing. I feel like it’s a temperature pressure issue with the fox shocks. Has anyone else had this sound? I have checked all suspension bolts and components. All are tight! Any ideas?

Check your tailgate striker. Even though it sounds like a rear strut it could be tailgate clunk. Use small piece of electrical tape to wrap around striker pin on rear bumper. Try this first before you go out replacing rear struts.

Maybe, but this is pretty clearly a suspension sound. Also, can't speak for the OP but mine seems to be from the front.

I've experienced several cold mornings while traveling north, and have not noticed any such sound.
As a habit, when temps drop, I do start my truck and sit in it for a few minutes to let her warm up before driving off.
Not sure if that has anything to do with it, however assuming you're under warranty, if it were me, I'd be back at the dealer talking to my service manager... You don't fork over this kind of money for a excellent truck and expect anything less than excellent performance. Let the dealership assess the clunk.. if nothing else, you've preserved the record if this turns toward a dispute, and the dealer could argue that if you heard an unusual sound and didn't bring it in, it's negligence.
Just my $.02 cents

I have an open call with the dealer on this. They went through the TSB's and found nothing. The service adviser was going to ask around the shop and get back with me. Likely, I'll be dropping mine off and letting it sit there overnight because I notice it the most when I'm backing out of my garage in the morning.

My dealer master tech has confirmed that they have seen several '19 Pro's with this issue. He said that it's primarily the front, but can be rear, sometimes it's the actual shocks and other times it has been a combination of shocks and sway bar end links. They need my truck in the shop, allowing it to sit overnight and then flexing the suspension so they can put the request in to Toyota for which suspension components to replace.
He also said that this has been resolved for the '20s.
Hope this helps.
