Where is the solution? I have been digging around too, and did a little testing.
It's pretty weird. Ever since I have owned the 4Runner, I have had my 160GB iPod Classic connected to the USB port, and my iPhone connected as well. Out of the blue this problem started, and maybe it coincides with an IOS update, but anyway, the problem halfway goes away if I turn my iPhone off when in the truck. However, even though the rebooting stops, now my iPod Classic is not working. It shows that it is connected, but when I select it as a source, I get an error that says
"There are no songs available for playback. Please add compatible files to your iPod."
Weird. I am going to do some more testing today, and I think I will try to update the software to the latest version via one of the eBay mini-SD cards.
So, have any of you fixed this issue for certain? And if so, what is the fix?
Thanks!
