2015 TE Facelift
I was on the fence for some time deciding whether or not to sell the mighty 4R in favor of something a bit more road friendly, but the truth is the 4R is damn near impossible to beat in terms of reliability, capacity, and utility. Towing could be a but better but if that and the lousy seats are my only gripe then frankly I’m doing okay. So I kept it and got a newly off-lease M3 which has filled the “fun driving” void in my life, but I most certainly wasn’t going to neglect the 4R.
The bilstiens were more or less shot after 90k+ miles, so I opted for an icon stg 2 lift, sitting at 39” from ground to bottom of the fender at all 4 corners now. The wheels couldn’t balance well due to the stupid design so those also got replaced. Headlights, more of an aesthetic improvement, but I’m still on the fence as to whether I’ll keep them, Same for the fogs.
Anyway, here’s a few snaps of the makeover. Still have a few things left though (SSO High clearance add-ons, gobi rack, and sliders). More to follow.

Looks awesome to me!
I’d like to know what you decide on the headlights. I don’t care too much about aesthetics, I just want better lighting and I’ve been eyeballing those headlights pretty hard since they are pretty much plug and play plus supposed to be “near OEM quality”.

There's only two gripes i have so far. First, they forgot to send the resistors needed to prevent hyperblinking, so im still waiting on them. The beam has a very pronounced cutoff, but its still way brighter than the stock "candles" as they've been referred to on this forum. As for fit/finish they're pretty good overall, I thought at first the upper outer corners weren't sitting properly, but upon reinstalling a stock light to compare i realized its just how they are.
Are they better than the stock setup? Absolutely. Do they throw as much light as my HID setup? Id say yes, but the peripheral illumination isn't as good which is remedied by running the fogs. The fogs however aren't as bright as my stock housings with phillips LED bulbs, nor do they illuminate as much. At the same time im not blinding other drivers with them anymore, so again, its a wash.

Considering that you’re running or have run pretty much my top picks for lighting options I’ll definitely try to keep an eye on this thread to see what you decide. Something has got to happen pretty soon because the stock low beams are killing me.

I bet your talking about the cutoff in this pic!
Lights look great and yeah fogs help but I returned mine. went to drive round a sharp bend corner in dark area and having zero time to flip on the fogs made for an unpleasant turn, just damn glad no one was hurt.

They take a bit of warming up to honestly. In brighter sunlight they don't look bronze, but it definitely reverts to that when its overcast/dusk. I let go of the other ones because they had a ridge thru the center of the wheel that made them impossible to re-balance after their first service. This is my fourth set of tires in just over year due to that. So if anything these are lower maintenance. Either way, time will tell if i keep them.

I generally always run with the fogs on, im stationed in rural GA so the deer threat is very real here. How dark are your windows tinted? I haven't had any issues so far maneuvering around sharp corners.

if you want the best bang for the buck, just get an HID bulb kit from xenon depot, and also add the LED fogs. Its a quick fix, and relatively inexpensive way to pass the time until something better comes along and/or you decide to get the Mori's. The stock bulbs gotta go!
