Speed Limit on split screen nav - 2020
On my 2016 I had to make the map full screen to display the speed limit, then go make to my "home" split screen and the speed limit would display on the map side.
Anyone know how to accomplish this on the new system in the 2020?

Didn't know that was a thing. I put my speedometer in number readout there. Think it will do both?

It would make too much sense to put the speed limit and actual speed on the same screen.
I bet the base Yarris gets that.

Since you jumped from a '16 to a '20, you are a perfect person to ask! I am looking into buying a 4runner and the cheapest '20 I found for sale in white for an ORP was 43k before California's wonderful state/reg fees, and I found a 19 marked down to 38.5k, but I'm torn between buying a '19 or '20 due to infotainment system and the new gauge cluster features! Is the difference that big between the two?

The only real difference is the new one has apple carplay/Android auto. Unfortunately I haven't had time to figure out how to use that yet, so not much difference to me.

Thanks for the input. I'm coming from a '14 Camry, and my girlfriend has a '17 Camry, both use the same system as the 4runner's right before the '20 update, and they're not BAD, but they're not good. Therefore, I was wondering if the new information that you can display as far as TPMS on gauge cluster, and the new screen/system is worth the extra cash to dish out.

There's also the addition of Toyota safety sense with adaptive cruise control on the 20's. Does that matter to you? If so, that might be worth paying extra for.

The new TSS isn't anything special to me personally, just because I don't see myself using it. I drove my sister's Accord Hybrid, and personally didn't like it much. I do like the fact that the '20 comes with the tire pressure monitoring because my '14 Camry doesn't have it so whenever I've gotten the low pressure warning, I have to go air up all 4 tires or guesstimate which one it might be, as opposed to our '17 that has the display with all 4 tire pressure within the gauge cluster. I did see you can purchase a system on amazing for around $100 that displays the pressure, so it can be added on, I guess it just comes down to personal preference. I guess everyone did well without it before the '20's ability to display?

I see, because I did see that there's a head-unit that looks pretty identical to the OEM '20 one named CHINA T9, but I did read on here that it has bugs.

You should watch some youtube videos with the different displays. Displays are bigger faster brighter as you might expect in a 5 years newer system. Gauge cluster has a different look as well and screen in the middle higher resolution. You will also find updated navigation program (shows traffic density etc - although this does not seem as accurate as google maps in android auto).

Great idea! I'm probably going to have to go in person to my local Toyota to see it in person and make a good comparison personally.
