5100s best for stock ride height?

I'm looking to stiffen up the 4runner a bit and reduce the notorious nose dive, while maintaining the stock ride height. Are B's 5100 the best option for me? How about the 4600s?

Not sure about the 4600s or what your budget is but if you are looking to upgrade your suspension at a low cost to eliminate the nose drive and improve on-road driving, I recommend checking these two articles out:
1. Bilstein 6112 Front Coilover & 5100 Rear Shock Install on 5th Gen 4Runner
2. Bilstein 5160 & 6112 Complete Guide - Everything you need to know!

Personally, I am going to go with the latter setup. I very much prefer the reservoir set up since I plan on driving fast off-road. The friction created from the shocks going up and down require additional oil to keep it from overheating. And I believe both 6112/5160s have an adjustable lift and can be set at stock height or to your liking.

Fox 2.0 performance has a similar option to Bilsteins. Its called the snap ring coil over. Its not really a coil over. Its just the shock that reuses the factory spring.

2.0 Snap Ring Coil-over IFP | Truck Shocks | FOX

But you don't think having a strut with a front reservoir would be just as important for your style of driving? I'd go with a better set up like king/icon/ fox w/ resi's if that's how you think you'd be driving.

Does adding lift to the 4runner throw the alignment off any? I've thought about adding 1 inch to the front to level out my TRD OR.

If you use the bottom clip setting the Eibach shocks they will not lift it. Also, they'll ride great and eliminate the nose dive.

I added Bilstein 5100s front and rear with front set to 0.85. Helped the nose dive, a little firmer on road and way better feel of control offroad.

I'm having a lift installed this Friday . . . they're putting on front and rear Bilstein 5100s and a rear Bilstein coil. I believe the rear is coming up an inch to level things out.

Anything wrong with installing 5100s and setting them to 0.0? Are they the best option for zero lift firmness?

It isn't about the lift height itself, its because you're disconnecting and removing suspension parts that may cause alignment to be out of spec. It is good practice to always get an alignment post install.

If you're going fast, why not get a coilover with resi for the front too? (not sure how fast youre planning on going or for how long lol). I tend to average 30-40mph on washboard roads at death valley for 45mins+ and haven't had shocks overheat/fade.

With that experience, I assume you'll have to go much faster on rougher roads for resis to help.
