Exhaust is a bolt on part. IIRC you could buy a regular exhaust setup for probably around $500 new. It's a non-issue. I doubt you could ever hear the difference from inside, or probably outside.

I was in the same boat as you and decided to go to AG TRDP.

I was also worried about the exhaust but it’s not a hard thing to swap out if you can’t stand it. Most likely, you’ll get used to it and it’ll be a non-issue or like me you may actually grow to prefer it.

As far as the suspension, I test drove an ORP without KDSS, with KDSS, and the pro. Honestly I didn’t notice a huge difference. Although very rare there is potential of KDSS maintenance issues and issues with it leaning in the long run and since there wasn’t a big noticeable difference I came to the conclusion it wasn’t something I needed.

In terms of strictly pro vs orp.. I think the first few years the pro came out there were little differences other than paint and aesthetics, but now there’s a number of other differences like remote connect, dual climate control, JBL audio (the audio in an ORP sucks), LED fog lights, auto headlights, tires, skid plate, and suspension. I figured if you mod up an ORP you’re pretty close to the price of a pro but the resell value of the pro would still be stronger. That being said, I was very close to getting an ORP and it’ll still get you to all the same places the pro will with the same reliability and safety features so you can’t go wrong either way.

Good to know... those are features I didn't think about. Sounds like the Pro has some features from the Limited trim as well. Those are welcome additions.

Edit: BOTH the TRD Pro and the TRDORP do not have dual zone climate control. The JBL audio system is NOT an option on the TRDORP but there is an option for a "premium" sound system, I guess better than stock but not as good as the JBL.

All differences can be see here in this brochure near the bottom in the "Features" pages. Not sure its entirely accurate as it says the Pro will have 15 speakers.

If you aren't chasing the AG color and you have any thoughts of upgrading the suspension or lifting (it's a serious bug if you are into and you won't be able to stop yourself) - then the ORP is the way to go.

Also I really like the KDSS on my truck. It is super noticeable in long curves at speed, compared to the traditional sway-bar. I'd only skip the option if I was planning to do Long-Travel suspension.

I debated going Pro or ORP last year. The color choices for the 19 pros were lackluster in my opinion so I went with an MGM ORP with KDSS. I’ve made exterior cosmetic mods to it with a couple more needed. I changed the wheels and tires, installed an aftermarket grille, and still need to blackout the bumper valances and do a front end spacer lift to lift the front 1 inch. When those last two items are done I’ll be just under 2K for the total cost of the mods with selling the original wheels, tires, and running boards. Will look identical to a pro for about 8-9K less than the pro would have cost.

I have 2020 TRDP which has dual climate controls.

For OP, can’t go wrong with any choice but Mountain4R nailed it. 2020 Pro features are huge welcome addition. I also enjoy TRD (made by Borla btw) exhaust roar which is not super loud (I came from driving M and R cars with performance exhausts though ).

I have the AG Pro, and if it wasn't for wanting the color then I wouldn't have got the Pro.

I mean i've already ditched the wheels, the rack will be gone in a couple of weeks, and as soon as I find a good enough deal on Icon, the stock suspension will be gone too. I get that I probably threw a lot of money out the window, but I wanted the AG and some of the other features that the 2020 had.

And don't let the exhaust deter you since its such a easy fix. I swapped mine out in 30 minutes. Super easy

I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around why you would do that? Legitimately curious… are the Fox shocks are a watered down OEM variant or something?

Do you have the Bilstein 6112 or Fox suspension?

Prolly wants the extra lift. (We all know they look better lifted)

He already admitted he just got it for the color which I can see.

I have the Fox and they are fine on the street, can't really give much of an opinion on them off-road since i've only been on some light trails

I mainly want more lift/clearance and going with a long travel setup.

You must be talking about ICONs extended travel shocks which work within the stock geometry, I believe it just recovers a little bit of droop when using their upper control arms. Real long travel is something that completely changes the factory suspension geometry, replacing both upper and lower control arms, shocks, and front axles using a kit from Total Chaos or similar. It’s a significant cost and commitment for off-road use.

Seems like a awful lot of trouble for a little bit of lift, but I get it. You won’t see much of any travel difference between the two either with the ICON system. This goes for pretty much everything until you get into a proper +2 or +3.5 LT setup.

Let me know how much you want for the Fox shocks... ill buy the entire setup from you and throw them on my Limited.
