I get that I probably threw a lot of money out the window, but I wanted the AG and some of the other features that the 2020 had.

And don't let the exhaust deter you since its such a easy fix. I swapped mine out in 30 minutes. Super easy
So for what reason did you dislike the exhaust? What did it cost you to swap out?

You can easily find a lot of my post discussing my hatred for the exhaust, but it boiled down to the fact that I just simply didn't like the tone and drone. I've put exhausts on nearly every vehicle i've owned in the last 10 years, I just didn't care for this one. But just about everyone else thats posted in the other threads say that its okay and most of them can deal with it. I think i'm the only 2020 Pro owner so far that hated it bad enough to swap out. I'm just SUPER picky about the sounds of my exhaust systems. I wouldn't worry if I was you

As far as it costing me money, it didn't cost me a thing. Me and a fellow forum member that has a 2020 ORP (I think) traded exhausts and he gave me a little cash to boot. We had both exhausts swapped in under an hour.

I would say for economic concerns and logical thought, get the ORP. You can use the money you saved to do tons of modifications and the car will superior comparing with the OEM pros. But if you are a lazy person, get the pro, it is already good enough...in most cases.

I bought a 19 orp and pretty much always regretted not getting the pro. I plan on building out the pro but stock looks good enough to hold me over till I have spare cash. If you think you'll have regrets, get the pro, cant go wrong

Love it. like mentioned I don't have the need to run out and level the darn thing, when I do a simple puck will work and no need to spend 2k for decent struts. orp has horrible body roll so springs/ struts (for me) were mandatory. Eibach is supposed to come out with a pro level kit with adjustable rear springs. Most runners (not all have a bad lean on drivers side and needs a puck or strut to level it out. The fox on pro is already adjusted up front but the rear still leans. rear springs are cheap! Pro comes with remote connect, can get similar aftermarket but its a crapload of a wiring mess! The JBL is far advanced over the orp premium sound (listen for yourself). its still not top notch but again, I'm not dying to have it changed, it will last until I need to

If you get a Pro and donít like the exhaust change it out. No big deal. Donít get a Pro if you plan on modding it. My 2020 AG is my second Pro. I donít want to do the mods anymore. Did it with my Tacoma. Like the Pro just the way it is. Value wise the Pro will hold it value way more than going with the off road. I compared numbers when I traded my 17 Pro in. Got almost what I paid for it. I would have got a lot less for the off road. Comparing same year truck and mileage. And yes if I would change my mind down the road to change somethings on my Pro have no intention of trading this in this time. I told my dealer what I wanted for my 17 Pro. Dealing with my salesman. I bought my 17 Pro from same place. If I had not got want I wanted I would have just kept my 17 Pro since I owned it. Things worked out really great into my favor in moving to the 2020. Donít over think it.

keep in mind I myself wouldn’t be doing any of the work, so the parts PLUS labor is what It would be if I got ORP, in the end wouldn’t I most likely be in the same price range? If not more? Then if I did happen to want to get out of the vehicle in a few years it probably would be more of a “loss” - but I’m not sure.
I am not the least bit handy or mechanical whatsoever..i can definitely see how if you did the work yourself you might save $

the list price for an ORP with KDSS and the XP package that gives you TRD wheels and front fascia is $44,590. The TRD Pro list price is $50,885.

$6k can buy you a hell of a suspension and exhaust even if you have a shop do all of the work, so now it shouldn't cost you more to modify an ORP

im not seeing that at all, at least around where i live. yes the TRD pro i see for 50,885....but the ORP - anything with MSRP around 45k with KDSS does not have the XP package or any further upgrades...where are you seeing this?

Couldn't agree more. I've lived a similar dilemma having two 4Runners for the past 2.5 years, an SR5 and a TRDP. The SR5 gets all the mods, and I am frankly way more relaxed about it when off-roading. If I ever need or want to sell quickly, the TRDP will be the one to go first, for resale and demand.

looks like you'er right, the $44,590 is for ORP with KDSS, the website must not have recognized the XP package. if you do the fascia and wheels seperately they will cost less than the XP package because you don't get the dumb predator steps.

so if you have the dealer do everything with OEM parts the ORP with KDSS is similar msrp price to the TRD Pro, but that doesn't account for pricing after MSRP where dealers sell TRD Pros at stupid prices but will deal on ORPs.

even without the difference in dealer markup, if you source the grill and wheels yourself finding best prices online you'll come out a little ahead with an ORP

To the OP, FWIW, my 2020 ORP w/KDSS, moonroof, all weather mats & Pro wheels/exhaust was $44k after dealer discount. I can easily replace the front to mimic the Pro, change the roof rails with a rack and do a suspension upgrade if wanted and still be way under the cost of a Pro. I don't have the dual climate control (not a biggie) and the JBL (also not a biggie for me, personally).

I've done a few other cosmetic changes, but still under the cost of a Pro. For me and my family, the cost saving for what we wanted/needed is going towards family trips in the T4R...so that was our driving force in our choice.
