Installing a TRD CAI on a 2020

Has anyone installed a TRD Cold Air Intake on a 2020 model year? I picked one up on Black Friday abut was curious if I install it, would it void any warranties?

Is there anything different on the 2020 than other late model 5th Gens?

Any thoughts on this is appreciated!

Yep, exact same engine. Plug and play. Hardest part for me was getting the rubber gromet through the fender wall. Found just work it slowly and it pops in place

Lightbulb Exact Engine

Process of installing a CAI is relatively simple and it took me no more than 30 minutes. Your first step should be removing your entire stock intake system, all the way up to your throttle body. Usually kits come with instruction so thats give, although if you still cant figure it out, the way that I would do it is connect your CAI piping to your throttle body first. Clamping it down and maybe using a rubber adapter of some sorts to get a good seal. Install any CAI covers or a box next, and then add your filter head on. At the end of this process, all your left with is connect your MAF and your vacuum hose.

On a side note, I replaced my hose with a breather filter. Doesn't do much, but it is good for the engines health. I hope this is the same process, although I'm confident this is the same engine. I have a 2015 4Runner and my process was way too easy. When in doubt, Follow the kits instructions!!!!

Looking to get one of these intakes just for the sound. Does anyone know where we can find the best deals on these? And can we only order these through dealerships?

Picked up mine online from Germain Toyota on Black Friday for 35% off and free shipping. You’ll just have to shop around.

Got it installed! Love the sound so far. Wonder what it would sound like with the Borla Touring exhaust?

If you are going to purchase one, use the individual part numbers vs the complete package. It saves you a bunch of money. I also skipped the flow valve and plugged the hole in the airbox with a grommet. (Which is the same size as the one needed for the inside of the airbox)

No issues on the install in my 2020.

These are the parts you will need:
PTR03-35090-AA
PTR03-35090-AF
PTR03-35090-AC
PTR03-89100-AA
PTR03-89100-AB

Vacuum Indicator:
PTR03-34071

I got everything for $205 out the door from Roseville Toyota. I picked it up from the dealer so there was no shipping charge. They were doing 20% off.
You might need to pick up some 5/32 vacuum line and 1/4 inch wire loom for the MAF wires. The parts kit i got didn’t have them in there.
I didnt include the filter. Im using the stock paper one until it needs to be replaced. There are quite a few options if you want to go for an aftermarket filter.

Put a little lube on your grommet and it'll slide right in. TWSS.

Thanks everyone. Shopped around and found it for a really good price (no tax; That's big for me because I live in CA). Cheapest I could find.

Got it for $371 shipped on BAM's Wholesale. Here's the link if anyone's interested...

It would have still been at least $100 less if you bought by the individual parts....
I paid $300 Cdn.

I get it, but I rather pay more to have one complete package instead of having to deal with potential missing parts, wrong parts, having to buy extra parts, etc...sometimes, the hassle isn't worth the discount I've come to learn.
