Headlight/Tailight Conundrum LUXX-Series LED Projector/ MORIMOTO XB LED TAILS

Evening all,

I have a quick question. I purchased and installed LUXX-Series LED Projector Headlights Alpha-Black and MORIMOTO XB LED TAILlights about a year ago and loved them. They worked beautifully.

Yesterday, While driving i turned the left indicator on and I got the rapid flash signal which historically I have associated with a bulb being blown out.

When I got out and turned on the Hazards they worked without issue (NO rapid flash). When I lock and unlock the truck they function fully and normally. It is only when I use the individual left turn indicator I get the rapid flash on the left side. The bulbs are NOT blown out A)because they briefly illuminate then cycle in sequence with the rapid flasher and B) I get full and complete illumination when I use the hazards or during unlock/lock functioning.,,,

Thoughts? Prayer? Toyota "Flasher" -- Maybe a Bad relay?

Thanks

~tge

Hazards won't cause rapid flash, I would bet it's probably something with your morimoto tail lights since the turns on those are LED. If you have your stock tail lights you should reinstall your driver tail light with the incandescent turn bulb and see if you're still seeing the same behavior.

Likely a built in resistor melted and arced due to an overheating condition and is causing this.

Hazards loop in all bulbs and the resistors for the others keep the flashing in time, which is why the dead side only hyper flashes when turn signal is used.

Are the bulbs replaceable? Have to figure out if the resistor is able to be replaced…
