2019/2020 TRD Pro Crossbars

I don’t have my manual with me, but I’m trying to remove the crossbars and can’t figure it out. I’m sure it’s something simple, but can anyone help me out and give me some tips. Thanks guys

You have to unscrew the thumb screw. Mine were so tight the first time they required some gently coaxing from a pair of channel locks.
also, the rubber grippy part was stuck to the side rails, they will pop loose, just use your hand/fist.

If anyone wants to sell a couple pro cross bars I'll be happy to take them off of your hands. The dealership treats acquisition of these things like you're asking for whale blubber at a PETA convention.

Did this create any kind of (more) noise or even decrease in MPG?

I can't wait to remove my Pro rack this weekend. I could probably sell it and then buy the black OEM rails, but I found a guy and we are trading straight up. Should be an easy transaction and then I will add two LFD crossbars later. I'm wondering if this Pro rack actually makes any noise. I've been in Jeeps for 10 years so I think I could have a buffalo strapped up there and it would still be more quiet than a Jeep.

I doubt it would do either. I have a Gobi ladder, three lights mounted around my pro rack as well as a cargo pod up there occasionally and haven’t noticed any increased noise or decreased mileage with any of it. Especially with the TRD exhaust, the 2020 Pro isn’t a quiet truck to begin with, and the mileage varies pretty considerably depending on how I’m driving, so any effect a few more flat bars have would be IMO pretty inperceptible.

no added noise due to pro rack or the added bars.
