1.5in or 2in rear lift

I am planning to get my King lift in the next few months, but wanted to know which would be better.

My plan right now is to have a 2.5in front Kings and 2in rear Icon coils, but should I go with 1.5in instead and if I do 1.5in what would be a good set of coils to get?

I just did a Bilstein 6112 front and 5100 rear combos. I did 2.5 upfront with the 6112 coils and got Wheeler T12 rear coils for the 1.5" in the rear. This still nets me a 1" higher (wheel well to wheel well) in the rear. I really like the way the T12 feels as a DD and off-road, very comfortable. I don't normally throw a lot of weight in the back (yet). I'm slightly concerned that the T12's are not sprung for any real weight in the back. So if you are going to load the back or tow, I would look at their T13 or something sprung heavier. On average, I have maybe 50lbs-75lbs of gear (and maybe a bike rack with an mtn bike) So far, it seems good.

Part of it might be I'm so used to the stock rake, that now, It looks weird level. I don't think I've got a "negative" rake now( With gear). Just voicing my opinion of my ride. Overall, I like the T12's, perfect balance of on-road daily driver and pair with an aftermarket shock, good for average offroad compliance (All I've done so far.)

I am running the exact setup that you are considering. Kings w/ resis and adjusters and icon 2" rear springs. Love the setup. When the rear is not loaded up you do have a rake and the rear feels a little stiffer than the front but once it is loaded with all my gear its perfect. I am also running the 600lb springs up front.

Are those King 600lb front springs or a different brand?

Just my opinion but 2" rear = level.

But it is only 1/2" difference.

That is correct. I wanted 600lbs because I plan to add weight up front at some point this year.

Oh okay.
Yeah, I most likely won't be adding much to the front, so I think 550 should do me good.

I am actually planning to have the same set up as you with 2.5 in the front and 2 in the back, but also be running F5 17x8.5.
I wanted to know how much modification did you have to do to get those 285s to fit without rubbing?

I had to remove the front mud flaps, and do the fender liner mod. I need to go back and push the fender liner a little more as I still rub a little at full lock on reverse if at an incline.

Did you need to do a BMC to fit those 285s or does it clear without having to BMC?
