RCR 4WD - Anyone used this vendor?

I came across RCR 4X4, and they are giving away some significant freebies if you buy a skid plate. The price for the skid seems good, and I was told that I'd receive lower control arm skids and rear shock mount skids for free. Can even choose the color options of them all. They're even fine making a custom skid that has oil filter access, and I was told that I would be the first one in the USA to have one like that (from them anyway).

But...

This company is located in Venezuela. I haven't heard of or seen anyone running their stuff. There is a thread or two on this site, but I'm having a hard time finding someone who actually bought and received something from these guys. Their website seems to lack some of the more technical specs. And shipping somewhat negates the attractive pricing, though it's still very good considering the free stuff.

So, anyone have any experience with these guys?

Thanks,

I would stay away from the South American companies. Nothing against them but I've have heard enough bad stories from them to even think of considering that route. There's always something that happens and when you need customer service they just aren't as responsive. Proline, VPR, Echotechne, TMT etc etc. And to be frank, from everything I've seen the design cues, quality, and craftsmanship of the South American companies seriously lag behind what you can find from local US companies.

You have think that there's a reason why they're willing and able to throw in a bunch of freebies with a skid order. Either they're desperate or their margins are so high from actual product costs and quality that they have that flexibility to throw in "freebies". Honestly, just buy American. RCI is in your neck of the woods.

2 things

1) the quality in that first picture looks RCR 4WD - Anyone used this vendor?
2) you do know the current status of the Venezuelan economy, right?

I got a msg from them on social media asking me to help them out 2 years ago. Seemed sketch but I went through with it. I did purchase and receive some of their products. It was a 50% off deal for me to use their product and help promote them. The initial order had poor welds, fit/finishing, etc. The 2nd shipment I received to correct the bad parts on first order fit better and the finishes were better but still not comparable to USA products. Also all the free stuff I was promised did not arrive with the order. Welds were not great and weld splatter all over and paint job still had blemishes and the paint still did not cover everything (nooks/crannies not coated). I worked with them just as they were getting started and were in the process of upgrading paint equipment. I tried to like them but just not the quality I wanted for the price. Use at your own risk, I can not recommend them at this point.

Just drive north and pick yourself up some RCI. Wait for a promo code. Save yourself on the shipping. Hell if you don’t want to drive hit me up and I can grab them for you and we can meet again at Popeyes lol

Go to Longmont.

Save on shipping.

That's where I got my rock sliders.

I know a guy who ordered from these folks, at least 6 months ago. He still has not gotten anything except excuses and “it’s on the way” from them.
I concur with others, never would order from such a place.

So the Venezuelan economy is not kept afloat by the exportation of high quality 4Runner components?
