Not sure about that. Unit comes with a built in mic and and plug in. Didn't want to mess with pulling the unit out every time I wanted to change something, so just went with the plug in, figured it would be more reliable. Seems to be working fine and have no regrets or issues so far.

I know that this thread is a little bit older, but I purchased this for my 2016 Trail and my backup camera doesn't work. I get an big yellow exclamation point on the screen when I go into reverse. Did you have any issues with this?

No bass from subwoofer?

Hi, brand new to the forum. I just installed the dasaita unit in my 2016 4Runner limited but the subwoofer is not working. I was sent a wiring harness with a green and blue rca that are labeled sub1 and sub 2 but theres no where to plug them in. What am i missing here?

Watch this video. It is for a T9 but almost identical to Dadaist and explains how to make the correct connection. Worked perfect fir me.

Installed this unit last week and like it so far

Hello there! I bought a '17 SR5 2 weeks ago. Love it a lot so far. One of my first mods was to get rid of the old head unit. I really liked the look of this new Dasaita 10.25" unit because it has the matching knobs and doesn't cover the vents. Also it being less than half the price of the Alpine unit helped a lot too. So I installed this unit last week in my '17 SR5. The install went really well. I have 2 minor things I am working through.

1) For those that have installed this, does your temperature dial change the degrees on the little HVAC popup display? When I change the vent or a/c or recirculation setting, the pop up HVAC display shows the setting changes but the temperature degrees stay at 75.

2) When I plug in Android Auto, it always loads in dark mode. If I turn the headlights on then off, it switches to light mode. I have set AA on my phone dev settings to "phone controlled" but that didn't do anything. If I set AA dev mode to "day" it will start in day mode but then it is too bright at night. Any thoughts on these?

On a side note, you can do wireless AA through Bluetooth! You have to enable Bluetooth tethering on the head unit (advanced settings) and the phone (network settings) then turn on wireless android auto in the AA app. It used to much battery for my liking so I turned off wireless AA but left the Bluetooth tethering for the head unit.

There is a little round hole to the lower left of all of the plugs (A-F). It isn't labeled but it is the only 3.5mm round hole on the back.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the blue lights not come on at night (too bright for my preference)?

In general I'm happy with mine although I may swap it for the HD version (the resolution is fine using CarPlay, but when playing with Android it could use some more vertical pixels to see a bit more).

Overall it's very snappy and the wireless carplay seems to work without issues.

Does anyone have a good launcher recommendation? I'm almost always using carplay, but when I'm not I'd like a more attractive launcher.

Panel lights next to Home, etc?
Settings, Car, Element. Adjust the 3 color bars.
Settings, Car, Factory Settings, Other. More options available for panel lights.

this is how mine behaves I assume because i just have the basic climate control so there is probably no temp setting for it to read. maybe it shows the temps if you have auto climate control?
