Fuel Pump Recall
Does anyone know which 18-19 4Runners are involved in the recall and has anyone experienced the issues described?
Edit October 2020: more cars added...
Toyota Fuel Pump Recall Grows To 3.3M Cars That Could Abruptly Stall
Toyota announces safety recall over stall risk | Fox Business
The VIN recall lookup tool on the Toyota and NHTSA site doesn't show my 2019 as affected but I'm wondering if it's too soon as they may have not updated their database yet.
EDIT: According to Toyota only vehicles produced in this range are part of the re-call
Early August 2018 – Late January 2019
Toyota on Monday announced it was conducting a recall involving about 696,000 Toyota and Lexus models over a fuel pump issue that could cause affected cars to stall.
The fuel pump on the affected vehicles may stop working, which would cause warning lights and messages to pop up on the instrument panel, and the engine to potentially run rough, according to the company. As a result, the vehicle is at risk of stalling, which increases the likelihood of a crash if it happens when the car is traveling at a high speed.
According to the company, affected models include:
Certain 2018-2019 Model Year Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350; certain 2019 Model Year Lexus NX 300, RX 350L, and GS 300; certain 2018-2019 Model Year Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra; and certain 2019 Model Year Toyota Avalon and Corolla in the United States.
Toyota is working on a remedy, which will be made available to customers at no cost once it is available. Vehicle owners will be notified by mail by mid-March.
To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

Toyota will notify you if your vehicle is involved.
Haven't noticed anything myself and it's my daily.

Oddly Toyota's own site shows my VIN can't be found (implying it is not in their database?) but the NHTSA site says my VIN has no recalls.

I'm a little fearful about these trucks stalling, with all the nannies. I'm guessing it will lock up the brakes, roll over on its back and explode. Or is it, you loose power steering and coast to the road side?

Looks like I'm on the list
2019 Trd Off Road
Title
Safety Recall 20TA02 (Interim Notice 20TB02), Multiple Model and Model Years, Vehicle May Stall During Driving at High Speed
Status
Remedy Not Available
The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Toyota is currently investigating this issue and will be developing a remedy. When the remedy is available, it will be free of charge to vehicle owners.

Weird that they changed the fuel pump from 2017 to 2018.
