275/70 r17 KO2's no lift on trail wheels.

Any rubbing besides when going in reverse?

Did the wheel well mod fix it, or did you have to do more modifications?

also, if you have pics of this setup, please posty here

I've searched the threads about this topic but can't get any concrete info so I'm hoping this thread will help those who are interested in the same setup.

Here's a helpful thread. There are 20 pages but I think I saw a few TE with this setup.
5th Gen Wheel & Tire Thread

I'm also looking at those same size tires but on a SR5.

You do realize the reason there is no definitive answer is because all 4runners are slightly different. Different just enough that you might not rub with those tires but your buddy might. With that said 275's usually fit with no rubbing. Sometimes not. I appreciate you wanting to know absolutely without question that they will not rub but your best bet is to go through the "Going bigger- 5th gen tire fitment guide" and see for yourself.

2014 Trail with 275/70R17 KO2's and 20kmi on them.

No rubbing for me.
Yes they look nice, big and beefy. They handle well and traction is good every where I've had it. But the ride on them is rougher than I had expected. I could drop the pressure down more to try and smooth it out, but then they feel like I'm driving on melted marshmallows. Even 35psi feels like I'm trying to accelerate through a bog and cornering gets very mushy.
Won't be purchasing an E load tire again for this truck.

thanks for the heads up. is the mushy ride attributed to the specific KO2 or the load rating e tires? Would a different load rating be different?

The mushy ride is low air pressure. Under appropriate pressure the ride gets a little rough. Personal suggestion is C load tires or the P metric size

The E rating is what made it too rough and firm. Lowering the tire pressures was what made them mushy.

No photo handy right now, but I have this exact setup. No rubbing anywhere. Working on finding that PSI sweet spot. I don't want it to sound like I regret getting them; I prefer the ride and wet condition handling to stock.

I am heavily leaning towards these tires, had them before on my little ranger in 31's. Someone talk me off the ledge of going with the 255/80/17 ST Maxx's! Why does choosing tires have to be so dang tiring.

Awesome! What load rating did you get?
