The brake squeak sucks. It's happening a lot in my climate this winter. Has been humid and about -10's C all winter (Winnipeg). I know people say to just live with it but I live downtown and it's embarassingly loud in my parkade and the parking lot at work. Chose the 4runner for something practical and dependable compared to the fancy German cars a lot of other people at work drive - don't hear any of those cars squeaking. I'll try the brake pumping!
I agree tho it's a small issue. I'm loving the truck overall. It's damn solid otherwise. I still will just drive in circles for fun or take the long way home to drive over bumpier streets. 3 months in and I'd definitely buy it all over again.

Funny, I didn't think about the seat being all the way down vertically and making the squeak. That is too how I have my seat set up so this makes sense.
It's weird that the brake squeak seems to be just the 2020s. Maybe Toyota just switched the OEM brakes installed to crappy ones, and once they start getting changed by 2020 owners, problem solved. Or it's the rotors, or calipers, and it will take us longer to find out/ get relief.
