2020 model issues/observations
So I have had my 2020 for 3 months/5000 miles already, had 2 questions regarding the following:
1) My brakes squeak a lot especially during humid/wet days if the vehicle has been sitting for a while, the dealer said that it was normal and the noise goes away after a while but I just find it to be really annoying. My next service appt is not for another 5K miles which is about 3 months out, any suggestions on how to resolve this squeaking issue short of taking it back to the dealer again?
2) Rear glass defroster doesn't seem to do a very good job, it only clears like a half inch wide strip for every line that goes across the glass. Is this normal for the 5th gen?
Thanks

New owner of a 2020 Venture Special Edition. I'll note a few issues I've found
1. Apple CarPlay Poor Phone Call Experience - Apple CarPlay in the 2020 head units is wired (not wireless). When I have my iPhone 11 Pro Max plugged into the head unit via USB, and make/take a phone call, the audio is extremely choppy to the point the phone call has to be terminated. It looks like the headunit freezes as I can see the time counter for the phone call freeze, then when the call hangs up, it "unwinds quickly" like a laggy video stream
2. With CarPlay being wired, there isn't a great storage spot for the phone. I've had to have it rest in a cup holder which isn't ideal.
3. Coming from driving BMWs for years and their LED headlight tech, the headlights in this vehicle are almost dangerously bad. I'm having the Morimoto XB LED full headlight assembly replacements done in a few weeks.

My 2020 breaks squeak too. Usually In the morning when cold and brakes applied lightly. I have 1200 miles on it. Hope it goes away

No car manufacturers aside from BMW/Mini and Audi currently have wireless carplay. No manufacturer has wireless Android Auto.
Try deleting your phone from the car, the car from the phone, reboot your car and re-pair.
Proclipusa.com sells some nice mounts for your phone.

The defroster should clear the whole window, but it may take some time. If it never clears then you'll want to raise it with the dealer. See below about your brakes.

Squeaky brakes are a fact of life with all cars. When it is humid/wet and the car has been sitting, surface rust will form on the rotors. When you apply the brakes they will squeak.
Perfectly normal. You didn't break anything and the brakes will still work as intended.

Buy a longer cord

Have you tried pairing a iPhone with a lower IOS level and seeing your still having problems with the Bluetooth/Apple CarPlay? Brake squeaking can be normal sometimes depending on ones driving habits to such as short commutes and lots of city driving

I have the same phone. Are you using ATT? Are you displaying 4G or 5e? I live in one of the most densely populated areas in the US and I cant get more than 4 bars anywhere it seems. You would think they would have the best coverage here.

I have a dual SIM setup with Verizon on esim and Google Fi on the physical SIM. Tried phone calls on both and same issue. Also tried phone calls, using both lines, at the same location, on both CarPlay and regular Bluetooth. CarPlay has bad choppy audio and Bluetooth was fine.
In taking the truck in for exhaust and pedal commander install on Friday and will ask about the tsb for this issue.

Bought my wife the 2020 OR
CarPlay works great. She is using iPhone XS. Maybe network where you are is not the best
Breaks no issue but expect to get some squick depending on weather. Common in all cars. IN my previous BMW all the time at start
Headlights are great if you do a quick upgrade. I did LED bulb conversion and output is close to what I have on my Land Cruiser from factory
Phone holder is an issue as phone moves in the small phone packet and doesn't fit well in cup holder. Getting her proclip which I have in my LC.

I’ve experienced the CarPlay phone audio issue on calls as well.

-my rear brakes started squeaking 6 years ago, haven't stopped
-defroster is not a defogger, works best for ice--breaks it up enough to use the rear wiper
