These look great, Mike!

I could not wait and went 6112 with 650lb springs and Icon 2.0 in the back.

I would not hesitate to try Dobinsons MRA if I were not set for the time being. The use of factory style bushes etc is a BIG PLUS. That was a key reason I wanted 6112s over 2.0 fronts from Fox, for example.

I guess all you need to address for US customers is support by way of the parts needed for rebuilding. There was someone in need to rebuild OME 51s and they did not seem to have an easy time finding out how or who or where.

What size is the shaft? The ad says 18 or 22. Is that to mean 22 front and 18 rear of does it depend on vehicle?

Thanks man. Yeah, the bushings play a massive part in the whole suspension. I'll never forget back in the early 2000's going out for a ride in a Jeep TJ Wrangler with full heim joint suspension, with no bushings in site.
It was f'n terrible, worst vehicle setup I've ever been in, and the poor bloke who owned it was so disappointed in all the money he had spent on it!!

Parts and rebuild kits will be stocked in Miami.

For shaft size, 18mm for the 56mm bodies and 22mm for the 66mm bodies. The 4Runner and Tacoma MRA's use the 56mm bodies front and rear. Land Cruisers use the 66mm bodies, generally.

In my opinion, this puts you right where you would want to be price-wise.

Whereas the Bilstein 6112 with a choice or rears is the low-end midrange setup, you seem to be offering the upper-end midrange setup.

There was nobody in that segment before, which is, from a purely functional perspective, extremely appealing.

Hey Guys

For the month of February 2020, Dobinsons is running a free Air Compressor deal with a full suspension kit purchase. Here are the details.

Purchase a full Dobinsons suspension with twin tube struts and shocks, and receive an AC80-3808 Air Compressor free with your order. $145 value
Dobinsons 4x4 Portable 12V High Output Air Compressor Kit with Bag, Hose and Gauge (AC80-3808) | Exit Offroad

Purchase a full Dobinsons suspension with new Monotube (resi or non-resi IMS) struts and shocks, and receive an AC80-3846 Dobinsons Zenith Air Compressor. $325 value
Dobinsons 4x4 Zenith Portable 12V High Output Air Compressor Kit with Bag, Hose and Gauge (AC80-3846) | Exit Offroad

The free item will automatically be added to your order, no coupons or anything required.

Regarding the IMS (non-resi) and MRA (3-way adjustabl w/resi), ETA's are variable on those products, so your order won't ship right away, but you'll still get the deal. You will be emailed an ETA when the order is placed, or can ask up front.

Mike,

How does the adjuster work? Does it only make it firmer from where it is set, like some Fox (I think the 2.0) and I also think some others, or does it allow adjustment both ways?

Pretty much both ways. When everything is fully open, it's all really quite soft, softer than the regular Dobinsons comfort valved front struts and rear shocks, so that tells me it goes both ways. And firmer, I haven't taken mine too firm yet but you can feel it quite easily with the adjusters. You can really go super firm if you want.

I'm eyeing these up for my 19 ORP w/KDSS.

Since these are adjustable would you recommend going to a non-KDSS "adjusted" coil?

On the front, yes, you can use even height coils and adjust the coil seat. Generally even is fine. For the rear though, if lifting 2" or more, it's still a good idea to use offset height KDSS coils, or even coils with the 15mm spacer on the passenger side.

Are the IMS essentially the same as the MRA just without the adjusters and remote reservoirs? I am assuming they are progressive valving. Also, if purchasing front struts with springs and top plates do you offer to ship them pre-assembled?

Yes, they're almost the same. Just added them to the site and planning to add new posts about then tomorrow.

IMS (no Resi, no valving adjustment) Archives | Exit Offroad

Yes, progressive.

Yes, assembly before shipping is still an option for easier hike installation.

Just updated the full kit pages so that you can select from Twin Tube, IMS (internal reservoir, no adjustment monotubes) or MRA (3-way adjustable with external reservoir) in the drop down menus. Not long until these come in!!
