Hey macscac, like your ram mount setup. Can you please show what parts you used for that setup? Part numbers, and where you purchased yours would be helpful info too. The pictures you posted don't quite show your setup. They have RAM Mounts on Amazon just not sure if its the actual vendor selling there.

My ICS Fab mount is on its way!

I have a Uniden 520xl which I have been trying to figure how to mount it on the top middle part of the dash....I think this would do the trick. Ideally I'd use this mounting plate to form a front that I could fab up another shelf off the back of (based upon your "this sits too high" comment), and mount it to the top of the dash. Would have to figure how to hide wires, but obviously just brainstorming right now.

Thanks
honestly, I did not mount it up there..
I did not want to deal with hiding the wires but mostly, I did not want a big brick up there. it would bug me.
I ended up buying a diff CB and mounted it in my center console.
I use this dash tray for my phone x-grip(s) and my fmrs handheld radio

I finally stumbled around to installing the ICS FAB mount today. I put it off because I had other mods that I wanted to do while I had the console/dash yanked out. I'm still impressed.

This flat and sturdy shelf, easily accepted all of my accessories.

One thing to note... the 9/64" drill size (that ICS recommends on their youtube install guide) isn't large enough to fit the supplied-screws through.

DEMIK, how do you have your iPad mounted low on the passenger side of the center console? Can you post some pics of it? Are you going to move your iPad to the ICS Fab Top Console mount? Thanks.

Hey, there is not a clear shot of it, but it looks like you mounted the Ram Mount inverted with the ball underneath the bracket. I am surprised there is room for that, but I like that it gets the mount lower. What type of ball mount are you using? Has this worked out well?

[not the person who you quoted]

There is plenty of room underneath it. Amazon does not have a very good selection of the mounts so I'd suggest checking out ebay. Also I wasn't a very big fan of the power taps for the USB, personally I'd have a better T type tap on hand, I know wago usually makes good stuff.

I might be able to take pics if there is something really specific. For me, I haven't found the best mounting methods just yet but then again I hardly drive anymore. I might try to rig the ball mount through the ICS log on the drivers side and use the short 2 ball mount for my phone. Blocking the vent is a no go for me being here in AZ.

Also I have a go pro mounted to the top of it

I'm curious as well on a 2020. I bought one but when i fit it up, there is a pretty decent gap on the sides. Seems like you will see the bolts that go into the sides since the bezel is slightly rounded.

I have one on my 2020 ORP. Works fantastic. Have two Ram ball mounts on it for my phone and a stand-alone GPS unit using the X grip device holders. Will try to take pics and post tomorrow.

Yes, please get some pics so I can see if your gap is like mine.... that sounds bad.

Here's my 2021.
Quick Take - 4Runner Phone and Tablet Mounts by Tackform - 4X Overland Adventures

I like these Tackform mounts much better than my old Ram mounts. Lower profile and more adjustable. Although Ram now sells one with a split arm as well. X-Grip from Ram interferes with the device buttons as well. I still have one short RAM mount on the passenger side for my InReach mini.

These look great. I don't have anything to mount to it but I still want one.

Thanks for the pic! Is there a decent gap between the mount and the bezel?

I don't think so. I can check next time I go out to my 4Runner. I certainly don't notice anything. Mine was a PIA to put back in on the left side for some reason.

That was never an issue on my FJ and I had removed the similar bezel many times. It makes me hesitant to pull the 4Runner one again but I probably don't have a need to do so.
