Thanks! Where would you suggest I purchase the 5100s? Do dealers stock these shocks?

Cheers,

Wherever you are comfortable buying these days: Amazon, Summit Racing, 4WD Parts, AutoAnything Ect. Plenty of options. I dunno if dealers would, it probably undercuts their own TRD offerings.
Look on the Bilstein thread to see where people are buying and getting good deals.

These are what I got, check to see if there's a new version first.
Bilstein 5100 Shocks
Front: 24-196499
Rear: 33-187174

Upper front shock mount
KYB SM5640 - Mount Kit

Having owned both the 5100 and the 6112… I would spend the additional coin for the 6112 if you can afford to do it. It’s a very smooth in operation and feels better than the 5100.

Is this shock harsh? I absolutely do not want a harsh ride (and thereby turning my vehicle into a squeaky rattle trap).

I've read some post on one of the Tacoma forums where the ride is harsh even when the shocks are left at zero (no lift).

Thoughts? Should I be looking at other shocks that approximate the stocker's ride quality?

Thanks Much!
G

have KDSS?

i put TRD Fox from 2019 on my 2020 TRD Off Road. the ride is very plush and perfect for daily drive.
