Frame Mounted Nerf Bars? Largest Treads on Sliders?

I don't want to bolt steps to my rocker panel. I would prefer to get sliders, but due to their purpose, all sliders are either angled up or level with the mounting point. The don't drop down for easy access to the vehicle. I understand why. That said, I am surprised not to find any nerf bars or rails that bolt to the frame and provide a drop step for passengers.

The other problem with sliders is that even the ones with treads in the pictures the treads barely seem to extend more than a few inches beyond the door sill but that might just be in the pictures.

Do frame mounted Nerf Bars? Is there a Slider that that has a larger tread section? Or maybe which one has the largest stepping area?

I have the nFab steps and they are rated for 300 pounds load. They feel solid and there is no flex. They are 14 inches above the ground and I'm stock height.

If you did not need the ease of steps I would get sliders because there have been a few times I wished I had them in tight areas.

I think you're right. So the goal now is to find the best steps on a slider. Jason Koertge has a video about some sliders that look like running boards but if I am being honest I want my sliders to look like sliders. It's just hard to tell from pictures how useable the steps are.
