Any 4th of July sales on racks or ladders?

I just placed an order for my rack and ladder last week! So excited. Also used the "T4RORG" code for 5% off

@SherpaEquipmentCo mpany or anyone really, how high off the roof is the highest point on the rack? I’ve got a parking garage that I barely fit in (the pro rack at stock height will scrape if I get the entry angle wrong) so I need to address the rack height issue before tires and lift add to the height. Fun times.

I just installed mine Friday, I can take measurements sometime this week. What’s your 20? If you’re near LA/OC, you can check it out if you want.

I'm in Vegas, so not close enough for a quick visit to check it out. Measurements would be awesome though when you can get around to it!

From the center of your roof, it is 2" off the roof. The break-over angle at the front and the rear is worse than stock.

We are not running any sales for the 4th of July. We do however offer everyone on here 5% off with "T4RORG".

Awesome, thanks.

The issue I have with the Pro rack is in the rear where it occasionally hits the yellow hanging barrier at the entrance to the garage at work. It's labeled as 6'7" and I've measured my truck at that point where there's yellow paint scrapes on the rack as 78" or 6'6" so it would seem their indicator pole is rather conservative. It's at the very back two corners of the rack where it hits.

2" off the roof at max is considerably better than the insane height of the Pro rack and would allow me to upsize tires and add the Eibach Pro specific spring set and still end up lower than I am now I believe.

Thanks for the info!

Any updated impressions on this rack from the OP or anyone else?

I've got my eye on one of these. My primary concern is avoiding water intrusion/rust issues. There are some scary stories out there regarding aftermarket racks that don't seal properly and/or encourage rust due to the way the metals in the aftermarket mounting hardware interact with the roof.

Also, maybe a silly question, any issue taking your 4Runner through an automatic car wash with the Sherpa up top?

@bjs0131 Curious to hear your thoughts on this after having it on your truck for a year. A rack was first on my list of upgrades and I did a ton of research and settled on the Sherpa for what looks to be great quality and all the other reasons others have mentioned - but mostly the no-drill. Ordered in Feb and in the waiting queue. Looking forward to getting it on the truck and heading out so your review was very helpful.

Ugh - wasn't aware of the 5% off code when I ordered though.

@PhillySilver I've had mine on for almost a year. I think it's a solid hnproduct.

1) The design of the rack and the components is very thoughtful.
2) No problems with the mount/seal.
3) They use a standard crossbar, so you can bolt things to it easily.
4) The responsiveness of the owner has been exceptional - better than most vendors.

I've only used it to carry gear/shovels/gas so far, but am planning to add a RTT this fall.

I also like their accessories. I use the Smileys for things like traction boards.
I also installed 4 BD lights on the sides of the rack recently - 2 each side. I'm quite impressed with the amount of light they throw. Plenty for setting up camp and low enough draw they can be left on for hours at a a time.

So I remain a fan, in case it helps.

Like the way this bar attaches and doesn't require a blob of silicon to maybe work. Might be my first mod.

Excellent - thanks for the info, super helpful. I ordered mine with a light bar and shorter wind shield to accommodate but am likely to look into some side lighting down the road so appreciate the info there also. I get frustrated when I can't see because of lack of light and those look great.

Looking good! Thank you for the feedback. I think my journey searching for a rack have come to an end.
