I don't think a solid piece of metal right there is the best solution. Too dangerous.

Our 2012 Trail got t-boned and totalled last year. It was a very hard hit and pieces of the interior got knocked loose including pieces around the hvac, glove compartment and the overhead crawl control. The only thing that kept it from becoming projectiles was the wiring harnesss held. Not to mention the stuff in the cargo area that went flying around. Luckily no one was seriously injured. Like others, I wouldn't want something metallic in the passenger compartment. We got a 2019 TRDOP and the first mod was a Raingler net to keep the stuff in the cargo area from flying into the passenger compartment .

I would buy it. I have the rear window panels already and would love this.

I have a sunroof, so I'm probably not your target market.

I'm also 6'7" with no headroom to spare... so it would be a no-go for me regardless.

Not to mention the safety concerns...

I like that you guys are innovating, and this is a cool idea, but it wouldn't be for me. Keep up the good work though, those Blitz sliders are in my sights for the future.

I had thought of something similar a while back. I figured that it'd be a nice spot for a flashlight, a handheld radio, maybe a slim IFAK... small stuff that I'd want to grab RIGHT NOW. I ditched the idea because I knew for a fact that the first time I hit my head on it going over some moguls... my cries of pain and anger would echo down the mountains loud enough to fuel Sasquatch legends for decades to come.

I've requested it before, but how about a rear trunk hatch molle panel. This way when we open the trunk all the stuff would easily be accessible overhead.

I liked the idea enough to click on this thread but the actual concept is a big no for me.

I like the idea, but not sure I like the reality of it... if that makes sense.

What I would like is a molle panel that would fit in the rear fender wells. Basically follow the floor/wheel well line and then make a 90 and attach to the bottom of the rear window molle panels. That way you have a little caged in area for loose items and can attach other stuff to the outside. They could attach to the floor at the D-ring location. I had something sketched up to see if I could have them built for mine but never followed through.

How about a molle panel that attaches closely to the front seat bottom plastic trim? It should be contoured similarly.

Any way you can post the installation instructions? I'd like to see what drilling is required.

Also, were there any weight testing on it? Just curious as to about how much do you guys think it can hold.

Start looking external than I’m in.

Get a grip on it!

This place cracks me up. Too dangerous? Just driving is probably 10x more dangerous, yet you all do it just about everyday.

I'm 6'1" and I couldn't hit my head on that if I had a booster seat and a load of caffeine.

Surely you guys are all aware of the fact that on the other side of the 1/8" thick hard felt headliner is a solid steel roof?

I love it, except I have a sunroof...........I still might pop for one!

Yes, the video should be up later today or early tomorrow. It requires drilling two small holes in the backside of the upper console and four up into a metal bracket under the dome light. This panel is definitely for lighter weight items, a CB is probably the heaviest thing you would put up there.
