I had one of these. I installed it, put a few things on it, drove around the block and took it off. I liked the concept, but felt it obstructed my view too much. Perhaps I have the seat adjusted high and that was contributing. Regardless, I did not like the obstructed view.

Sorry, I must have missed this! If you really never open it, you could install it. The back of the panel mounts under the dome light with screws into a bracket in the roof. The sunroof cover slides right over the bracket and the mounting screws will contact the sunroof cover when you slide it open and could tear it.

I originally stated that I wouldn’t have a use for a panel like this but things change...

Long story short, I needed to mount a tablet from the ceiling for our special needs son.

The install was easy but tricky with just one person. Three hands would make life so much easier.
Anyhow, it does exactly what we need as a family for distance driving at night.

Using a ram mount so it’s super easy to remove when we don’t need it

I definitely want one for our tundra.

Super cool setup @macsac. Also, do you have pics of your ICS fab mount setup??? I'm about to install mine and wanted to see how everyone else are using theirs. Sorry for hijacking the thread OP.

Thanks!
I can take one in the morning for you
Honestly it’s just a small ram mount and I have my two fmrs handhelds hanging there. Pretty basic

Here’s a quick photo. If you go to the ICS beefy mount thread, I have some other photos.

For those of us with moonroofs, has anyone seen an overhead molle panel that runs along the headliner in the cargo area, parallel with the wheel wells?

The closest thing I've found are the rear quarter window molle panels made by the OP, Rago and other shops. What I'd like to see is a panel that uses the same top mount and runs along the headliner, creating a left/right storage area that runs the length of the cargo area. The existing attic solutions that mount to rear window molle panels don't fit my needs as I want to maximize headroom when car camping and sleeping in the cargo area.

Worst case, I'll fab it myself. Wondering if anyone out there has seen this already. Thanks.
