Max Recommended Front Lift, Center Hub to Fender

Was wondering how much lift you guys recommend "maxing" out at in the front. Currently I am at 22.5 center of hub to fender. I went to a meet and saw people with as much as 25 inches in the front. I am sure more lift in the front with stock axle shafts means worse CV life.

3" over stock which would be about 23" center of hub to bottom of fender.

i wouldn't go by how much lift you can get, but more along the lines of how much of an angle your cv boot looks like. Everyone is different.

I went up to 3 inches to fit tires, now I'm actually going back down as much as I can to maximize my cv's life.

Do you want a show truck or something functional?

For functional height - 3 inches is kinda the limit. Higher than that and you should be either going for a bracket lift or long travel.

For a show truck that doesn't really do anything very well - you could maybe get away with up to 4.5" lift if you clearance your CVs and use a diff drop. It's going to suck on and off road. But it can physically be done and move under its own power.

I think that's fine. But again, check your boots to see how angry they may be.

I am down to 23.25 from 23.5 and the ride and breaking is so much better.

When my lift was freshly installed I was at 23 inches my boots currently look pretty good I think I could afford to go a little higher in the front but don’t think it’s worth the work adjusting 1/2 with kings

To see if and or how much the boots are rubbing (looking for tears and slung grease is also a good practice every so often as well). If a business card can fit between the bellows you are good to go. Now..everyone has their own comfort level with this, so everyones appetite will be different on this.

Here are a couple of pics of the CV @ 23 1/4" . To my untrained eye, all looks well. Comments?
