Black Rhino's + KO2's

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to add Black Rhino Gunblack Armory wheels + 275/70/17 BFG KO2's to my stock 4Runner. In the future when I do a 3in lift and upgrade to 285's can I use the same wheels? Yes right? Best place to buy tires?

I am a little confused on what wheel and tire part # to get? What is the best setup?

looks like they are 9.5" wide. you might have a stretched tire look with those 275s. i wonder if the +6 offset is enough to clear the UCAs with 285s.

there was a dude that got a custom set in 17x9 -12 which i know will fit 5th gens.

I had those same wheels. They look AWESOME. Especially on a MGM 4Runner. They are a bit too wide IMO. You can make them work if you're dedicated to the idea, but I wouldn't expect much room for flex. I had 285/75/17 and needed BMC and BFH along with UCAs. Did not hit UCA though. I'm sure you can go on the BFG website and see if the 275 is made for a 9.5 wheel. I bet it's at the top end, but probably ok. Good luck.
@dak1b you would also need hub centric spacers. They are hard to find in the 106/112 size you will need, so be sure to ask the seller for them. It's a good idea to have spares too. Different brands/models of tire have different tolerances. I had 285 Toyo OC AT2 Extremes on mine. They didn't look weird, didn't drive weird, didn't wear weird, and were within manufacturer spec on a 9.5 wheel. I believe the Falken Wildpeak 285 is also manufacturer approved for a 9.5, but I'm not 100% certain. Their website will tell you.

9.5 is too wide for 285 and 275 for sure. Get a 9 max or better yet an 8 to 8.5. 275 will wear on the edges from the wide rim.

That’s way too wide of a wheel for the 10.9” wide 275’s. I too love the armory, I almost ran them on my Power Wagon and would love to have them on the 4Runner but they are too wide and the offset/back spacing is all wrong.

Looks like Black Rhino makes 8.5 at the low end...hmmm any other companies you would recommend with the same aesthetic as Black Rhino?

Okay thank you. For the 285's it sounds like I will need a 3in lift for no rub.

I do like the matte bronze wheel look with MGM.

Thinking about this combo...265/70r/17 KO2's with Fuel Bronze Shok Wheels.

Would these TRD center caps fit these wheels?

I am hoping I can sell my stock tires+wheels with less than 5kmiles for $500.

There dope, but the price point of almost $500 a wheel is double what I want to spend.

I recently got 17’ by 9.5’ black rhino Roku with 285 70 17 Goodyear ultra terrains and stock it rubbed like crazy, I did a 3in lift with a lot of trimming and I now have no rubbing at all, I recommend if you need a place to buy your wheels and tires to go to ‘discount tire’ or ‘America’s tire’ because they have a deal with TSW which own black rhino and you can get a good deal on those wheels you want, also I work at a tire shop and personally BFG are not my favorite, Nitto Ridge grapplers have the best performance in my opinion and also the Goodyear ultra terrains last a while and have gotten me out of some serious mud. But it’s your build but I like your plan Black Rhino's + KO2's

the 265/70/17 c load ...might be a better choice to keep the smoother ride. I see 8.5" is the high end for wheels width...could I run a 9" width wheel on these tires?

I really like these Black Rhino Rumbles in bronze. I think they would look great on my MGM. I'm not a huge fan of the center cap...would that be easy to switch? Does anyone have photos on their ride...reviews?
