The IMS handles significantly better than my old TRD PRO Bilsteins. When it's time to replace the shocks, I feel I will buy another set and rebuild my old ones as spares.
When I hit the Alpine Loop again this summer I will have more confidence than last time.
My use case: I'm a conservative driver offroad. I explore the San Juan Mountains, CO and Utah National Parts annually. At home, in FL, I use back roads for remote campsites 1-2 times a month. These are more than adequate for my applications.
Initial concerns: I was initially worried I would not like the stiffer "701" IMS rear shocks; but in the end I am happy with how the car handles off-road. My concerns were completely unfounded.
Thanks for checking in!

That's great to hear!!
Yeah, I don't like to call the IMS59-50701's "stiffer". They're the standard valving Dobinsons recommend on this vehicle, and then they made a softer version for those who really only daily drive their vehicles while empty. They probably don't even need to offer the softer option to be honest.
Arrrggghhh, that drive from Florida out to Colorado really does suck!! Takes forever!!

While it's hard to say without using the 705's, I feel the 701's are perfect on-road and off-roads for my vehicle.
Haha, I'm one of those weirdos that actually like driving. I'll agree about the drive back, after the trip is over, and you're dreading going back to the rat race... now THAT sucks!

I am pretty excited to get working on it. It seems to be a very good balance in geometry.
I still want to retain rake
Currently as it sits with 200 miles on ODO, I have 2 3/4 Visual Rake Front to Back from ground to top of fender cutout with measurement going through center of the hub. ( I will measure floor to frame just for records too)
FL 34 1/4 -- FR 34 3/8
RL 37 ------ RR 37 1/8

Most people measure fender to center of hub. Air pressure and tire size will have an effect on your readings (fender to ground or ground to frame) to the ground and you'll get differing readings in the same day... more drastic differences between a summer & winter reading or immediately after installing new tires.

Yup. Got it remeasured. No measurable lean noted. Still came up with 2.75 in Rake front to back.

My stock numbers were 19in F & 21in R.
With 302s up front it was at 22.5, with 327s in the rear it was at 24in... after everything settled.
I've got the LT IMS front struts (574s) and the IMS shocks (701s). After adding the winch, I'm probably at 22in (haven't remeasured yet) up front.
