The 1 feature I want in the 2021 is the full speed adaptive cruise control. I emailed Toyota and of course they won't say.

I found only 1 resource online that appears to align with TSS 2.0 coming to the 4Runner in 2021. Chicago Auto Show.

Did they spill the beans??

2021 Toyota 4Runner: The Toyota 4Runner sees the addition of a new Nightshade and Trail Edition packages, which add trim-specific wheels, body molding, and other performance parts for 2021. The 4Runner is a midsize SUV that seats 5 passengers. Competitors include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Passport, and Ford Edge.
Rear-wheel-drive is standard with four-wheel-drive being optional. There are seven trims offered: SR5, SR5 Premium, Venture Edition, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, Nightshade and TRD Pro. There is only one engine available: A 4.0-liter V6 that makes 270 horsepower and pairs with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds.
Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing has not been released.

Um, adaptive cruise control is already out on the 2020's, so yeah, the 2021's will have it too.

The 4runner has tss-p and not 2.0. So it's lacking I believe the lane tracing and road sign assist. Maybe the pre collison for bicycles, but not 100% on that. I also think there is a few differences in LDA.

It sounds like he is wanting the 4runner with almost autonomous driving.

True. He said the one feature he wanted was the full speed adaptive cruise control, which TSS-P has. He might just not understand what each thing is or what adaptive cruise control actually is.

Right, the 4Runner doesn't have full speed range DRCC yet, like the Subaru has. Trying to read into that article where blind spot monitoring comes, so wondering if they will upgrade from DRCC to full-speed range DRCC in 2021.
Traffic is brutal out to the mountains from Denver, so I would love this feature!!

Toyota Safety Sense

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) or Full-Speed Range DRCC
Intended for highway use and similar to "constant speed" cruise control, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) 66 lets you drive at a preset speed. DRCC uses vehicle-to-vehicle distance control, which adjusts your speed, to help you maintain a preset distance from vehicles ahead of you that are driving at a slower speed. DRCC uses a front-grille-mounted radar and an in-vehicle camera designed to detect vehicles and their distance. If a driver is traveling slower than you, or within your preset range, DRCC will automatically slow your vehicle down without deactivating cruise control. If DRCC determines you need to slow down more, an audio and visual alert notifies you and brakes are applied. When there's no longer a vehicle driving slower than your preset speed in front of you, DRCC will then accelerate to your preset speed.

Available On: 4Runner, Corolla, Corolla Hatchback, Corolla Hybrid, Camry, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Land Cruiser, Mirai, Prius, Prius Prime, RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra

Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Full-Speed Range DRCC 61 70 is designed to operate between 0-110 mph. This enables low-speed following, matching speed and, under certain circumstances, stopping before colliding with preceding vehicles on highways. The Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control feature is available only with an automatic transmission.

Available On: Avalon, Avalon Hybrid, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Corolla, Corolla Hybrid, Corolla Hatchback, C-HR, Highlander, Prius, Prius Prime, RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid

I hear a two tone Pro is next. Voodoo Blue and Black.

I'd love a SR5 that came with 4x4, a locking rear dif, and Atrac - no Crawl Control.

That'd be pretty annoying if Toyota did upgrade the 4Runner to TSS 2.0, like the Chicago autoshow blurb says at the end. I'm betting you can't just retrofit any those features into the nerfed TSS-P version in the 2020s.

At first I was like, what the heck is "AG?" lol.

I honestly don't understand why people really feel the need to abbreviate everything. Is it really that hard to type out?

Come on man. How else are people with a TRDORP going to be able to flex on the poors with a plain old SR5?

I was posting from my phone. Sometimes abbreviations are just easier.

People don't type out "TRD Pro" half the time on here or "Toyota Racing Development".

I'll attempt to be more clear in the future
