Jack-Lift height

Hello....

I'm looking to start rotating my own tires on a regular basis. I've got a fully stocked garage but the lift/Jack that I have is a bit lacking so I'm looking to upgrade. What type of a jack would be my best bet if I'm looking to jack up the entire one side of my car. (I have plenty of jack stands).

My truck has Bilstiens set at 1.75. Besides that, it sits on 265's. At some point moving up to 285.

If there isn't a jack that will dead lift the entire side. What's my safest way to accomplish this for rotation.

Realize this may be an easy question....just trying to not get killed.

Thanks.....

Just get a good quality floor jack and jacks stands and get all four corners up on jack stands.

I've got 6112/5160 combo with a ~2.5" up front and ~2" on rear on 265's. What worked for me is a Harbor Freight Daytona Long Reach Jack.

I'm able to lift an entire side of the vehicle at the frame using this jack, and I think there may be a little room to spare once you switch to 285's.

I know harbor freight is shit for the most part, but one great item they have is the Daytona floor jack.

Get the orange one that is low profile and lifts to 25" height. It's a 3ton

I do the tire rotations every November 7K miles and the oil change /grease drive shafts .. rust fixing ....

what I use is a small bottle jack 12 tons cap.. I jack up the lower control arm front. vehicle lifts up only 1.5 inches that's it..

then I use a low floor jack 3K LBS.. jack up the rear diff pumpkin.lift is about 2 inches .. vehicle is level on the lift .. no need for jack stands ..

you will like this setup very stable .. I do the X rotations of the tires. reason is the tires wear more on the pass side than the driver side .. roads in my area have sand on the shoulders..

then I use solid wood ramps to drive up on them 5 inches .. very easy to drop all the pans on oil changes .. I inspect all fluids and any rust / leaks etc..

after the oil change I keep the pans off a couple of days to check for any leaks .. never brought the vehicle to dealership no problems 2016 runner.
