“Max setting” in your case may mean adding preload but I could be mistaken. You get more lift but I imagine ride quality would suffer. That would explain the difference at a glance.

My 2 cents but I’m no doctor.

yea top preload. ride is FANTASTIC. it rides better than my titan with no sway bars, fox 2.5's and uppers. for a fraction of the cost lol. i had my doubts but man its glorious.

i think i'm at a bit over 2" even tho bilstein says 2.5"

So, tbh they MAY have settled ever so slightly but I think I was being hyperbolic last night/this morning. In my defense I think you all could understand my frustrations and skepticism.

I’m still pretty skeptical that these are going to hold lift over time. I’ll keep throwing up measurements as the months tick by.

I’ll take your word for it. I’m not about to rip this ****er apart again anytime soon haha.

I’m surprised you say that tho. I would figure any pickup with decent suspension would feel better. Suppose it’s subjective. I’m always comparing it to a Cadillac or like a built long travel prerunner. The ability to float over shit without transfering energy to the driver.

I dont understand how the coils keep sagging. If they build them with the correct materials to the correct specs it should take thousands of miles. If they expect them to sag after install to some degree they sound have a machine to load test and or flex them first. Even the factory springs stay at the same install height. Either you got bad coils from the same build run or you need a different brand.

Yeah well welcome to the club buddy. I’m at the mercy of dobisons which are treating this as an inconvenience to themselves. Perhaps their corporate HQ in Aus would like to hear how their USA partner is conducting business.

I've noticed my OME lift doesn't appear a lifty as she once did, but that could be all of the extra steel that's been added too.

Ive been toying with doing a new lift and had considered Dobinsons but not sure after following this ordeal.

Steel will do it.

Yeah idk man. What really bothered me was that they failed to take responsibility for having me throw more money at their lift kit to correct excessive rake. Playing a little mommy daddy games, skirting responsibility, and acting like it's my fault they sold me a shit lift. K so mikey is not apart of dobisons usa. That bit of information escaped me.

So now that you have had some time with this lift what is your impressions on ride quality? Did they settle anymore? I'm thinking about getting the Dobinsons IMS kit. I was just going to get new coils but my lift now has 40k in it and not sure I want to put money/time into the same one.

Also curious on this, as I'm wondering if it was also a shock issue? Just very bizarre. they are settling that much.

No steel/winch, etc. correct @Mutant ?

I've got a similar setup to Mutant, C302s but the IMS shocks. I'm seeing measurements of 22" on the front (both driver/passenger) and 24.25" DR, 24.5" PR (C325/725 rear coils).

The ride quality is as expected with standard nitro shocks. I have these overkill 10ply tires that kind of skew my sense of how it rides tho. Satisfied.

After I got the front coils swapped the issue was resolved. Didn't notice any over settling. Suppose it's time to take new measurements and update the thread, but she's definitely holding lift.

It was not a shock issue. Shocks stayed the same the coil swap solved the issue.

No armor other then sliders and OEM TRD skids.

Dobisons in Miami never updated me with what the issue was after I sent the old front coils back. I wasn't very pleasant about the issue with them and the CS was lackluster anyways no surprise there.

I recommend anyone considering dobisons giving Mike with Exit offroad your business and not ordering from direct from Miami. A mistake I hadn't realized before I blasted everyone online like a jabroni.

Glad it worked out, sorry to hear you had a very bad experience with this! Glad to hear it's holding - your truck looks great!
