Keyless Entry: Stopped Flashing/Beep When Lock Button Pressed

Figured I'd put this out there in case any of you have any ideas how to fix without me having to go to the dealer..

Just noticed today that when I press "lock" on the keyless entry the hazard notification and audible notification no longer works. The doors DO lock, however i also noticed when I have my lights on and press "lock" the second time to turn off the lights it does NOT turn the lights off anymore.

What's strange is the "unlock" button works fine - hazard and audible notifications work normal.

I tried to disconnect the battery for an hour, but it didn't do anything except lose all my presets.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

The power lock actuator? The locking/unlocking function works fine. Does the actuator integrate with the flashers/beep I guess? Just trying to understand..

It's no longer being able to lock the door, Or is doing it incompletely/sluggishly and the truck does not recognize the doors being locked.

Get in the truck and see if you can watch the door locks moving. The one that's broken will be moving slowly or not at all.

Oh nice you nailed it. Back passenger door isn't operating.

Next question, how hard are these to replace? Pop the door panel and just install a replacement I would assume?

Thanks for the help!

Pretty much. There are some good threads on this forum about removing the door trim, I'd like to them but I'm on my cell phone right now.

No worries you got me in the right direction, thanks. Haven't popped a door panel since high school, looking forward to it. Figures that my warranty ended last month..

If your warranty just ended, I would still check with the dealership. I have heard of a lot of people still getting warranty work when it was close to the end out of good will. Plus it never hurts to ask.

Smart key not locking, but remote will lock car.

Hello,

I'm having a similar issue except I'm getting not feedback when locking the doors using the touch sensor on the handle or the up button on the rear window. Unlocking via the smart key handle works on both doors and the down button on the rear window. If using remote to lock it works perefectly. Anybody have an idea on what could cause the entire locking system to fail when using smart key but not the remote? All door actuators are working fine, some were recently replaced.
Thanks.

@toyotafan I am having this same exact issue! i cannot, for the life of me, find ANYTHING on how to fix this. i was trying to avoid the costly dealership fees just for them to look at it since I am out of warranty. I have a 2017 Limited and this started happening about 3-4 weeks ago. I've researched and asked with no luck. Have you figured anything out?
