Had fuel pump recall done remote start stopped working
Not sure what happened but obviously a sloppy dealer. They first gave it back to me with the driver seat not working. They forgot to connect it. Now I noticed the remote start no longer works. Any ideas what that maybe? This dealer you can never get into for 2 weeks without an appointment too.

Aftermarket remote start? My first thought is to check the wire harnesses to make sure they didn't disconnect any of the 'T' connections.
We have GPS units on our fleet vehicles, and every so often if the vehicle has gone to a dealership for warranty, the GPS doesn't work because they disconnected the harness. Especially the OBD2 plug.

^ My guess as well, they unplugged a harness somewhere. Most likely OBD2

I don't have any input on the remote start issue, but I am very curious about your having the fuel pump recall taken care of. From what I've been able to gather, Toyota is still in the investigative stage and there is no current remedy available. Can you share more with us?

2 weeks is bullshit. Bring the truck back and park it in the middle of the service bay. Talk to the service manager and tell them to finish the job.

Same here... I only received the official mail notification from Toyota Corporate on Friday, 02/21. It essentially stated, we're aware of the issue and working on a solution...please stand by. We'll be in touch when we know more.

This right here. Having to schedule another appointment means you are being treated as though it's a separate issue. Nope, they haven't finished the first issue and should make time to fix it now.

Yep, they said it was the recall. I only took it in for the oil change and then they said it had the recall and took them 6 hours to do it. Ugh

This is 100% true, they don’t even know if it is a software or hardware issue or fix.
So, basically if the OP is telling the truth, the dealer lied to him.
