Thumbs up Installed the JBA UCA

Installed the JBA Offroad UCA's this week. Thought I installed them backwards being that there is no DRIVER SIDE or PASSENGER SIDE written on the arms, but after looking at everyones photos looks like they are installed right.

These are photos from my passenger side. I need to get a wheel alignment being that its pulling slightly to the left, plus i want a higher caster then 3.5. I swapped the Camburg balljoint UCA's out for the JBA's.

I went with STD (Standard) high caster JBA UCA's myself. I would assume that most people go with those as the HD's are overkill in my opinion.

standard high caster, no need for the HD's.

I didn't, I'm just playing around with the idea of it but I've had it off for a few weeks now. Doesn't feel awful due to the spring rate and valving. Can somewhat say it feels smoother due to the suspension actually able to work independently. I'll be able to really test it out this weekend finally.

I like them a lot. Pretty sturdy steering, no vibrations or jolts, much better bushings and nice knowing the uniballs is strong. Keeping them clean can be a pain but it is what it is.

Also, I'm running JBAs older design bushings where they're basically OEM style.
Anyone have any input if upgrading to their new bushing would be much better?

Bump from the dead.

Make sure you use a grease with Moly in it. I did not and have been dealing with a squeaking noise due to using regular hi temp grease from lucas oil. The bushings require a grease with moly to move freely and stay quiet.

I learned that this morning after chatting with the owner of JBA about my squeaky arms.

My new grease should be here today. Ill pump it in and report back if it works.

Looks like they have redesigned the boot. Hopefully that solves the grease leaking out. JBA upper ball joint replacement

Upgraded to Toyo AT3 285/70/17 tires today and the alignment tech maxed out my caster at 2.9. Now before I purchase these UCA STD High Casters, I have one important question that I could not get affirmative confirmation while searching online, will they will rub on the tires. My Pro is lifted with Eibach's drop in springs for the factory Fox Shocks and running the factory Pro wheels. Hopefully someone with a similar set up can confirm this for me.

Even after reading their notes I'm not sure where my wheel specs fit in due to them being 17x7 with a +4mm offset, am I over thinking this?

Please Note: 32.5" and larger diameter tires need aftermarket wheels with less then factory wheel back space. Tire Size Calculator

LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 9 wheel, -12mm offset (4.50" backspace)
LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 8.5 wheel, -9mm offset (4.30" backspace)
LT285/70R17 (32.7" x 11.2") tire on 17 x 8.5 wheel, 0mm offset (4.75" backspace)
LT285/75R16 (32.8" x 11") tire on 16 x 9 wheel, -19mm offset (4.25" backspace)
LT255/85R16 (33.10" x 10") tire on 16 x 8 wheel, -12mm offset (4" backspace)
LT315/70R17 (34.4" x 12.4") tire on 17 x 9 wheel, -25mm offset (4.00" backspace)

Any tire that is 32.2" diameter and smaller there is no fitment problem.

I have std high caster with 285/70/17 and spidertrax spacers. My tires are not rubbing on UCA. I actually had this setup for a few months then added the spacers. Tires never rubbed UCA.
