Did a little digging. I stand corrected.
Just for argument's sake tho the manual calling them 'emergency towing eyelets' doesn't mean they are safe for recovery loads. If something failed which really does seems unlikely I doubt toyota would cover it under warranty.
Anyways tho. Two rear hooks w/bridle vs tow hitch and a single strap/line that's the real question.
