I was thinking of putting rear-facing light pods. They would be way brighter than the stock lights, even if I used LED bulbs instead.

Yeah I removed the stock plug and bracket. couldn't find anywhere to aline both(centered) right and left side without getting rid of it. I bought this on amazon and screwed it to the "L" bracket holding up the light. Still tucked away but easier to plug into. They also sell flush mount if your brave enough to cut into the bumper. I've seen a runner in this forum that did it
